My doctor recommended taking this as I enter perimenopause. Has anyone taken it? Something else they would recommend?

It personally did not help me. I didn't find anything that worked for me, but I have slept with a personal fan next to the bed that hubby got for me for 10+ years. I also have a cooling blanket. I have been past perimenopause for at least 5 years but I still use them/need them. Hope you find what works for you.

I took it for years. It really helped my hot flashes. If I missed a day or two, I would definitely notice it.

I never took anything, was never recommended anything, and perimenopause was never discussed. I think I need a new doctor. 😂 My hot flashes were typically only at night.

I've been wondering about it. Need to ask my doctor. I'm to the point with my damn hot flashes of asking for HRT. I was anti-HRT for me forever but what I wouldn't give for a full night sleep!

I just went to my doctor and I did not want to go the medical route, but the more natural route. I have been taking a supplement and now I have added vitamin E to it. I do not have a uterus, I did have a hysterectomy at 36, but I do have one ovary. And that changes what I need to someone with a uterus.

I use the multisymptom one and get it at Costco. I also take evening primrose at night. I think they help. I wish I had started taking them sooner.
I had horrible hot flashes and night sweats for years and they were even worse after my hysterectomy I also had my ovaries removed (cysts). The dr said no HRT and to go the natural route so I tried these.

I am currently reading The New Menopause by Mary Claire Haver and trying to educate myself before I go to my Dr. and talk options. Haven't gotten into specific meds yet but I am learning so much. So many symptoms that I put down to age actually could be due to menopause.

I tried it and it didn't work for me. My dr. prescribed something that wasn't over the counter and it helped some.

I have been taking the complete multi system (yellow box) for about 1.5 years. I believe it helps. This is my 5th summer with hot flashes and they increased every year and this summer, so far, they seem slightly lesser than last summer.
I was buying my supply through Amazon. I went to get another 3 month's supply last night and now I can only buy it through their fresh program, oh brother. So I found online at Target and it was quite a lot cheaper.

Please do not do HRT. Of course, that is btwn you and your doctor. HRT can cause breast cancer. It's risky stuff. I found acupuncture really helps my hot flashes. It kept my hot flashes at bay for a few months at a time. All natural, not dangerous and you get to feel really peaceful for a bit. Worth it!

I talked with my gyn about it last year because I was unsure. We had a really good discussion and she left it up to me to decide. My mom had breast cancer (HER2++) 10 years ago, no genetic markers so I am cautious about it. I did acupuncture a few years back for headache and some muscle pains and it was magical.

I got mine for $45 several years ago, and now I am seeing it for $86. I did notice the green color only is $60 right now. I LOVE this thing and travel with it. It does lose the "cool effect" once it's on you for a bit but all you have to do is move it. Other areas are already cool. It just takes in your heat and thus you need to shift it. Not a problem for me at all. Really a wonderful, wonderful blanket. I travel with it everywhere. Cozy Bliss Cooling Comforter

It’s available all over it’s just cheaper at Costco and they have sales regularly.

The WHI study blew it all out of proportion. Now a generation of women have suffered with their symptoms and increased risk of dementia, osteoporosis and heart disease (which isthe #1 killer of women). OP look in to real hormones, not a herbal supplement.
