I had a mammo literally 6 weeks ago. All clear. Now all of a sudden I found a lump. A fairly large one. ACK.
On the one hand, I'm 98% sure it's a fibrous something or other as I'm sure I didn't go from zero to breast cancer in 6 weeks.
However, I can't get in for a follow up ultrasound unless referred by a dr., and I can't get into my dr for a referral for a couple of weeks.
I'm sure it's nothing, but .....ACK!

Ugh I hate that type of stress. I'm so sorry. Try to stay calm. When I have had a large lump pop up seemingly overnight, it has always turned out to be a cyst. Schedule an appointment with your doctor, maybe see if you can be waitlisted for any cancellations that would get you in sooner.

That is a crummy type of stress. I hope you can get in earlier to find out it nothing to be concerned about.

Sending positive thoughts. I’m sure all is well but hopefully you can get in sooner to see a doctor. Please let us know how it goes. Take care.

((( hopechest ))) Something similar happened to me also. And, it was nothing. I’m sure that it will be the same for you too. 💚

How nerve wracking! I’m sure you are right and it will turn out to be nothing serious.

Is it possible to schedule a quick phone appointment or send an email asking for the referral? I have those options with my provider and she always responds to emails the following day. It seems like in this case, since you just had a mammogram, that getting a quick referral after finding a substantial lump would be advised. I hope your doctor can do that without having to see you in their office. And I hope it is just a cyst.

Ugg! I so hope all is fine, but know the waiting is so stressful. Hope you can be seen quickly. {{Hugs}}}

I know it’s stressful for you and I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, but … try not to worry about the couple of weeks’ wait for an appointment. The recommendation for going in if there’s a change to your breast health is always to wait a couple of weeks to see if it goes away on its own.
Most breast lumps turn out to be nothing serious.

Keep us posted!

My co-worker just had the same thing happen and it was just a cyst and they drained it. Don't stress too much!

Good thoughts for you.
I hope you can be seen quickly for ease of mind, but echoing other posters that it could just be a cyst that popped up quickly.
(((hugs)))
