I appreciated that speech...I still believe he's a decent man and the fact that he apologised as plainly as he did, sat well I thought.

Who would want it at the moment? I’m a little surprised Sunak is not staying a little while to let the party settle down and regroup but he’d little choice but to go straight away I guess. Nice words about Starmer and I do believe he meant them and they weren’t just from a speech writer.

Very happy that the likes of Truss and Her cronies are gone a bit sad that a couple of good MP's lost thier seats .
Listening to Keir's speech outside Number 10 gives me a little hope He knows that He was elected on the back of voter apathy & He knows He has a mountian to climb I think if He can keep the hard left in line people will relax a little . I still don't like Him & I am another who thinks His voice is very grating & I think He has a very beige personality .
His first 100 days will be very interesting

Penny Mordaunt I am sad about. zippythebird I had your fears when Tony Blair was PM and, to be honest, I think we've been on a downward spiral ever since. I am very pleased we seem to be finally getting away from the old boy network of politicians who think life is a jolly jape and who have more money than many of the electorate can dream of. |

David Lammy - Foreign Secretary
Yvette Cooper - Home Secretary
John Healey - Defence Secretary
Pat McFadden - Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster
David Lammy as Foreign secretary is a worriesome given His track record
Angela Raynor is just Awful and Keir needs to watch His back with this one She wants the top job
Yyvette Cooper She will do well as Home Secretary I like Her alot
Ditto Rachel Reeves She will do very well am really happy for Her

I think Angela Raynor comes across as being economical with the truth but I don't object to her being ambitious. If you are in the top job you have to expect people will want to take it off you. I'm not overkeen on David Lammy.
