If you live in the north part of the US, is your firework show for the 4th of July really late? Just curious. Here is So.Cal most shows start at 9PM.

Ours was last night after dark at the town center. We never heard a thing.
We just got back from a walk in the dark and some people were doing fireworks in their backyard. I think any type is illegal in our county.

It's funny, because I can hear one as I type (9:42) and it isn't dark enough, in my opinion.

I don’t know exactly when they started as we were hiding in the bedroom with our pups, but they lasted through at least midnight.

A few minutes after 10pm here. <——for official ones. Other fireworks go off much earlier. We will have fireworks until 1am. My poor dogs.

Most of them start at about 9:30 here. The only local show going on is about 30 minutes away, all others were cancelled due to wildfires currently burning. And that show has some kind of technical problem and they hadn't started by 10:30. There was a lot of angry Facebook posting in the community groups about it lol.

There were multiple towns around me that had their fireworks displays last night and they all started about 9:30. I am in New England.

I'm in Kansas City area and I heard them shortly after 9pm and then at midnight. I had assumed it was the city show that's put on each year, but apparently that was rescheduled until tonight... LUCKY US.
Fireworks are not legal in our city limits..

Well, there is no set time. Boats go out on the lake, and as the sun goes down, families from both sides of the lake have sort of a show setting them off and competing--who has the biggest best fireworks. LOL! Very beautiful over the water but one of my dogs hates it so it makes it hard to go on the deck and watch.

I'm in New England and they tend to start 8:45/9:00 ish. There were some still going strong at 9:30, 10:00 but we didn't hear anything after that.

Ours aren’t until tonight. Usually it starts around 9:30-9:45 and goes for about a half hour. We can usually see them from another town across the lake for a while yet after that.

Ours were scheduled to start at 10 pm but they were a little late. They ended around 10:40. We weren’t sure if they would have them because it rained in the evening.

Usually between 930 and 10pm, closer to 10. It depends on where you are in the time zone though- if you are in the eastern part of any time zone, it gets dark much earlier than for those in the western part of the time zone.

915 here in north-central Florida - we didn't go but could hear them from here. People were setting off fireworks from about 5pm on though and I could still here some sporadically at midnight
also 915 in Yorktown VA where my kids watched them

here in SF..9 pm and as usual, the fog hid much of the fireworks if you were viewing too far from the west.. they usually fire the fireworks sort of low, so you might see them under the fog. but it is a crapshoot. they are fired over the bay off a barge

It is usually around 10:00 since that is when it is dark. I heard a bunch at 11:00 last night, though.

Midnight. It's still barely dark enough. Some places do June 30 fireworks at midnight, then July 1 Canada Day have whatever activities. This way you can get to bed early for work the next day (not that many work traditional M-F 8-5 anymore).

Midnight. It's still barely dark enough. I wonder if Alaska can even have fireworks on the 4th? We were in Anchorage one summer, late July, and at midnight it still wasn't dark. It was so surreal to me.

The official ones started at 9:30. The unofficial ones kept going until 2 am with someone driving up and down the street throwing something louder than firecrackers out the window. It’s irritating but I chose to live downtown 🫤

We watched the Disneyland Fireworks at 930 from the Pixar Pier Hotel fireworks viewing floor. All the same as being in the park , hearing the music , great view and no crowds. Plus free … we weren’t even staying there
