So with it scorching hot in many areas, what do you do for fun? How do you keep yourself entertained while inside?

Read, arts and crafts, computer games, and/or movies. We also go to the mall/store. I like to go to B&N or an art/craft store. SO likes to browse around Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Streaming is my friend. it's so hot here most of the summer that it's a good time to catch up on shows since I don't want to be outside.

Read, scroll the internet, watch TV, catch up on home projects that fell behind during the school year.

Normally stay inside, surf the net, maybe do some crafting and stream. The other night I went out and took dgs to dinner and to a workshop at our public library.

Last week DS and I pretty much napped due to illness. But I typically read, scrapbook, scroll on the computer, watch YT videos, see what cooking shows are on, play with the dogs, and I got back into embroidery. We also got 2 new fun games and dh, dd, and ds all got new Swtich games to play.

I'm a total introvert so I have no trouble keeping myself entertained. Here's what I did today:
-- read, on and off during the day -- browsed Facebook and the Peas -- did a lot of Duolingo -- made up the bed in ds's room because he'll be here next week -- posted some stuff on my Buy Nothing group -- watched some "FBI" and "Criminal Minds" -- worked on a jigsaw puzzle -- walked around our house (inside) in a circle for 20 minutes, which at my pace equals one mile -- browsed some Instant Pot cookbooks to find something to make next week -- played the piano -- played Palia and Runescape (online games)
Haven't been bored for a single minute.

Perfect day for the pool AND I like going for walks in the cool woods when it's hot. But today, we went Goodwill Hunting.
I found some fun things at the Humane Society thrift store, including a pail full of giant rusty nails, railroad spikes, and some old hammers; a Betty Grable early 1940s coloring book; one of those really old telephones with the ear piece, genuine, I can tell by the wiring (not operable as is, it's going to be repurposed); a fairy lamp (the kind that holds a tea light or votive, I buy them whenever I find them); and a couple small old dolls. And a jean jacket to paint. And a shadow box.
I CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE THEM INTO SOMETHING! which is another way to spend time indoors, if I must.

Pretty much the same things as normal. I just have to adjust the time of day. I go out very early for gardening sometimes before breakfast. My sewing room gets warmer because it is upstairs so I may work up there earlier in the day also. I used to stream my shows up there in the late afternoon but now I'm staying on the ground floor for that.

Today we did some gardening work in the morning, took down track lights in a bedroom and installed can lights. I made a two hour call to my mom. Played cards and watched a movie with dh.

When it's hot/humid I'm in indoor gal. I can't stand it. I'll work on projects around the house, read, watch tv. I have no problem keeping myself busy. We've had 100% humidity the past 3 days and I'm over it.

Usually during hot spells, I would have the kids get up for early walks when it is still cool. But, it's been in the high 80s overnights. There is no cool times lately.
So, mostly indoors, honestly. Lazy days of summer is better than heat sick.
As for me, I run my errands early.
Cook in the slowcooker, or make cold meals.
Watching movies, tv, online vids.
Reading.
I keep popping outback to check on the garden, and water at night when there hasn't been rain in awhile.
We've been playing Monopoly, and card games.
Kids have been playing their Switchs more.

I try to be walking by 7:00 a.m. Then I scroll the internet, play some of the NYT games, watch tv, housework, laundry, read, etc. I have a phone call from my best friend each morning also.

People around here head to the lakes - pontoons, boats, floaties, tubing, water skiing, etc. We have a place on the lake. I am often amazed when I go into town to run an errand how much warmer it feels in town.

I'm in Florida. If we didn't go out when it was hot, we wouldn't go out at all. It seems to get to me more than it used to, but fortunately there are lots options for swimming and boating. Later I'll play pickleball then go for a swim, paint or watch a movie.

I am never bored at home. There is always something to do. We have cold winters so we are used to being indoors more during the winter months.

Later I'll play pickleball then go for a swim, paint or watch a movie. We went on a vacation to FL during a summer heat wave. It was a beach vacation so our plan to deal with the heat was to go into the Gulf or pool. We had been there other summers and we were commenting how it felt so much hotter than our other vacations. On the local news they were giving survival tips on dealing with the heat, so it confirmed that we were there during unusually hot weather. Minnesota air felt pretty great when we got home.

We binged The Traitors Season 2 this weekend. It was in the 90's which is really hot for here so it was a stay inside weekend.

I’m lucky in that I like the heat much more than the cold, I live in PA so our heat is relative. It’s in the 80 -90’s which is hot for here but not unbearable. So I walk early in the day and then switch off between inside and outside tasks. My relaxing time is spent reading either on the deck or on the front porch. I must say anyone who denies climate change has their head buried in the ( very hot) sand.

I think I'm generally pretty lucky with getting decent summer weather. We were at 86 yesterday (hot for me) and had an outdoor BBQ and game day with family and friends.
It is currently 68* out and has been raining (thankfully) I just had to put on pants and socks.
I think we are more likely to have to stay inside in the winter and even then I just bundle up and get out. I watch more tv, scrap, and do things around the house when I can't get out though.

Get up and have a cup of something caffeinated. We usually get out in the morning regardless of the heat (and don't get me wrong - it is HOT here) - as we all need to move our bodies, including our dogs. Come back, drink a lot of water, and then we're big fans of the afternoon siesta tradition. Read, practice an instrument, do some cleaning up, prep for dinner, teach some lessons (me) or finish work and head to the gym (DH). Have dinner and enjoy something on TV.
