I keep all my embellishments with the collections. However once I am done with the collection I store them by color. Also any embellishments I pick up that do not belong to a collection, it will go in my color binders. I have several 1in binders that I got from Amazon that hold all my embellishments by color. I have a video on my channel that explains my process. youtu.be/GDFNNc1HRcE I liked your video and I watch another one of yours. You are really easy to listen to. I'm picky about scrapbook videos- some people are really annoying to listen to. So I subscribed and liked.

I have subscribed to ur channel... thanks for sharing Thank you for Subscribing. Having them grouped by color has allowed me to use them so much more. I like the page protectors for the embellishments but not the stickers, they wont come off.

I completely understand... being a content creator it makes it harder to find other scrapbookers that I enjoy watching. Creating videos isn't easy and a lot of work go into even a short video. I work in the adult training field as my full time job so I know that helps with making the videos more pleasing.

I've updated my embellishment organization: I've placed all my embellishments that are not in collection kits in my craft table drawer. I'm hoping that this method will help me use more of these pieces (some of which I've had for going on two decades.) I've separated them by type--flat (mostly paper, but I did throw in a few stickers), large wood veneer, metal and misc. My chipboard pieces are in a bowl on my table. I haven't made any pages yet, but I think this organization will work for me.

Oh boy, I guess I'm kinda all over the place with this. And I'm with so many of you who "under use" some of my embellishments. When I buy a collection (or lots of a collection) I tend to keep the emb. together with that kit til it's mostly used up. My emb. are sorted by category (ribbon, buttons, flowers) and by color within their category. Alphabet stickers are stored by color (mostly) and some emb. (stickers, die-cuts) are stored by theme along with the pp that fits with that category (Christmas, sports, kids, etc). Stuff that doesn't easily fit into a category is - well, a lot of the time, I don't know where it is. Right now I have a couple of clear storage bins that I got from Meijer full of stuff that I don't know where to store. It can all get so complicated.

I do both. Most sticker sheets have a theme. I organize loosely by season, holiday, or an event we do often.
I don't put much thought into design, so it may not look cohesive, but this is just a hobby for me. A distraction from real life.
If it's generic like hearts, stars, or enamel dots, I organize by color. I don't own a lot, so it's not hard to sort.

I'm in the same boat as you, artbabe - in the middle of a stash sort (Thanks to Ali Edwards' Stash class combined with working in a new space as my previous one was too far away from the family to be practical for this season of life) and I'm considered sorting some embellishments by color, primarily die-cuts, but I'm nervous to take the plunge and try. Excited to hear how others handle this! Did you think the AE class was worth the $30, or was it just a repeat of previous ideas?
