jeremysgirl, my zucchini pales in comparison to yours. Dh picked one today. Though they seem to be surviving the heat, so far. Tearisci, thank you. He's awake and yakking, so that's a hopeful sign.

**GypsyGirl** Add me to the list of folks wishing you and your DH the best!! The ENT I saw today believes that my continued ear/throat pain are a result of acid reflux, so she prescribed some Omeprazole and a follow-up in 3 months (sooner if things don't seem to be improving). She also wasn't sure what to make of the super elevated EBV results, but did suggest doing the WBC again in a few weeks to make sure that goes down since the Prednisone I'd recently finished could've been why that was elevated (to rule out any infection).

Waving hi! We are having turkey burgers and fries. I like cooking the frozen fries in the air fryer. Yum!

rymeswithpurple: A couple years ago, DH had an ongoing sore throat that just wouldn’t go away. Dr ran all the tests and x-rays (was looking for throat cancer) and eventually determined that it was caused by acid reflux. He got a prescription (can’t remember what it was) and it totally fixed the issue. He now swears that drinking some apple cider vinegar (mixed with water) every night has helped his acid reflux.

jeremysgirl Bodies are so weird! I hope this kicks it. I did also message the doc I saw since she wanted me to keep her updated, and I'll redo the blood work in a few weeks. taylortroop Ooh, good to know that trick. Thank you! I am still thinking I had some sort of infection, though, since those EBV results were less than desirable.

**GypsyGirl** . Good thoughts We have been under a tornado watch/warning off and on since 1 PM. It’s pretty terrifying to be driving home from lunch with a friend and have the radio go off with that noise you sometimes hear on the TV that if this was really an emergency etc. It was an emergency. It was reported that a tornado had touched down about 20 miles from me. So I got home as fast as I could before the rain started. This went on until 5 PM which was 2 1/2 hours ago. A couple of farms had their barn destroyed along with their crops, and a couple of houses were also destroyed. No loss of life thank God. Most of the damage was south of Buffalo towards Jamestown and then it headed north east. Supposedly a tornado may have touched down about 35 miles from here, but they won’t know till tomorrow It was an unreal experience where it would rain and rain and rain, get really dark and then the sun came out. That happened three times. I don’t know how people in the Midwest deal with these tornadoes or anyone who deals with the hurricane. Give me a snowstorm any day of the week.

I would 100% guessed acid reflux because I had a son with it and milk would go into his ears. I don’t play a doctor on TV but this is what the Ent told me about DS.

I just wanted to show off. Jeremy kept saying he wanted zucchini bread with chocolate chips when our zucchini harvest came in. I went to some of my new vegan cookbooks and I came up with a recipe for a chocolate zucchini cake with a chocolate ganache topping. I used my fresh picked zucchini. It was delicious.

**GypsyGirl**, I don't like cooked zucchini, but bake it in a bread and I'm in heaven. jeremysgirl, that cook looks professionally baked. Dh wants to try it, too. **GypsyGirl**, how is your husband tonight? How are you and your daughter doing? I'm here for you. ((((HUGS))). Next time we get together we have to see if we show up wearing the same color. That was fun. rymeswithpurple, reflex can be a bear, because it causes other symptoms that you would never think related to the esophagus. The sore throat makes total sense, but you wouldn't have known that. Who would? Also, sometimes reflex can mimic heart pain and vice versa. I have both problems and I have learned to discern cardiac pain from reflex, but sometimes I still call my cardiologist when I'm not sure. Prednisone can change white blood cell count, as well as raise blood sugar. It's a beast of a drug, but when you need it you need it. Again, I'm not a doctor, but I'm a professional patient. I think the medical system should start paying me a salary.

**GypsyGirl**, how is your husband tonight? How are you and your daughter doing? I'm here for you. ((((HUGS))). Next time we get together we have to see if we show up wearing the same color. That was fun. I called about 9 pm and they said he is resting peacefully. They did attempt a breathing trial but he became too agitated so they stopped. Said they'll try again tomorrow. Meanwhile they have decreased the sedation meds some and added something to calm the agitation. All his other numbers on tests they do daily look good. So we wait some more. I am doing better today. The doctor called in something for my anxiety to take daily and we'll touch base in 4 weeks. I've also been trying to stay busy and do little projects here and there. I've also eaten much better today than I have in 2 weeks which is good because I'm down 8 lbs in two weeks! DD is still in Rome and having a good trip with her old college roommate (who has never been to Italy before!). She is texting and calling in daily so she is up to date. We insisted that she go because honestly, there isn't much she can do here, especially with him sedated. Hopefully he will be on the mend when she gets home next Tues. That is so funny that we showed up in the same colors! Can't wait until you make a return trip!

jeremysgirl and scrapmaven, thank you. Loved having my crazy sister here for such a long visit, and I am still feeling just fine. I will have a report on my upcoming treatment plan next Monday. No matter what, I’ll be starting treatment on 7/22 (well, I guess unless I get COVID or something). **GypsyGirl**, keeping you and DH in my thoughts. Hope he gets all better very quickly.

The hurricane shifted and went around us. We just got a lot of the rain and strong winds but we're ok. Thank you for asking.
