Look up Lana Cease -Watercolor Artist on Facebook. She was/is? a Pea and she is AMAZING!!! I second that. In fact I’m sitting by one of her works that hangs over my fireplace. She was so easy to work with as we planned the piece. It was a gift to my husband and he absolutely loves it. Visitors are always stunned that it’s watercolor as her work is so realistic.

I have! I retired a few years ago and finally decided to learn stained glass. I've always loved it. I have taken a lot of classes and am now set up to do it at home. Fortunately, there's a great stained glass shop within a mile from my house. Because I love taking classes, I've also taken several in fused glass. I'm loving it.

I’ve finally made myself a spot to put puzzles together. Last year my son got me a puzzle because he thought I would enjoy it, but mostly, he said it worked both sides of my brain, and would be beneficial in many ways. The reason why I’ve never put one together was because I really didn’t have a table big enough. So, I got a nice piece of wood and put it on top of my coffee table. He was right, I really enjoyed putting the pieces together. Little victories one after another. Until I put too much weight on the make shift table, and it all came crashing down.
Recently I moved my furniture around in my LR, and made space for a table that is big enough and matches LR furniture. A cute chair that I found at an antique shop finished the spot. ( I had to sit on the floor to use my coffee table, make shift puzzle table ). I can leave the puzzle out and work on it for 5 minutes or 5 hours.
I also have a table in one of my bedrooms set up to do scrapbooks, which I almost always have one that I’m working on. I make these for family members and I love it. Absolutely no pressure about this hobby whatsoever.

I was coming here to post about my son and I taking a stained glass class in Italy this summer...it was SO FUN!! I'm hoping to find a class near me. My son is only 12 and the instructor allowed him to join me since it was only 2 of us. It was his favorite thing from our Italy vacation and definitely one of my top 5!

I love to watercolor! Here are a couple of youTube channels that teach beginners. It is the start of going down the rabbit hole on YouTube! LOL! www.youtube.com/@kristyricewww.youtube.com/@jennaraineychannelI am avoiding starting any new hobbies. I have tried a lot in the past, so there is not much more to try. Good luck on your watercolor journey! Just one tip, if anything, spend the most on paper. That can make all the difference on how easy or hard you find it to watercolor. 100% cotton is the best. Love Jenna! Kristy - i have watched all her watercolor/materials reviews And i have gone down the rabbit hole. I’m obsessed with pigments and color mixing. Painting - not so much. So far, I can only do geometrics and stencils. Flowers will be a miracle one of these days.
