Cute photo leannec ! We were up at 6 and back from our walk before 8:00. There were some clouds which helped with the heat. There will be a bit of cooler weather coming up which means I can cool the house down at night. I'm having my hair cut/colored at noon so I'll decide then what's for dinner as the salon is in the Raley's shopping center.

Happy Birthday to our wonderful jeremysgirl . I know that she's on a little birthday trip w/Jeremy and may this be the start of a super fun year. Dh and I started our day w/ods and we went for coffee and for them pastry to a nice little bakery. Then ods went to work his shift at the antique store. Vendors have to work one day per month. Dh and I walked our farmers market. The best part was walking through and not needing to buy veggies, because we have it in the back yard. Dh did buy a couple ears of corn, because our corn is thriving, but not ready, yet. Today we're not doing much, because the house is still cluttered from the window mess. The window guys have installed all of the windows, but now they have to finish the screens and trim. We have another 2-3 days of work. Dinner will be a/f panko pork, rice and veggie. Too hot to cook, so the a/f will be my best friend. I have vocal practice and I'll find something fun to do at home. Enjoy today, my tribe.

We are having a low key weekend. There’s just been so much happening that has drained us emotionally lately, so we need to just chill. Today was grocery shopping, then tennis on TV while I worked on my crochet project. Tomorrow will be church in the morning - there is a baptism that DH will do photos for, and one of our priests is leaving for 6 months in the US next week, so there will be drinks and snacks after the Mass. I spoke to my younger DS this morning. He has arranged with his boss to ‘WFH’ this week, but will actually be working from my sister’s house, just down the road from his older brother. He’s taken Monday off to help with the girls while older DS and DDiL deal with funeral arrangements. He is also going to source a plant for me andgive it to the family. Dinner tonight was pork kebabs from our local butcher with pasta salad. Not only lazy days, but lazy meals too! ntsf - I hope you’re feeling better soon. Please test again for covid in a day or two if you don’t feel better. I have heard of so many people recently testing negative for 2-3 days before popping up positive. Happy Birthday jeremysgirl

Happy Saturday!
I just had lunch at a new teriyaki place, which was so good! Teriyaki is a West Coast staple I have missed for years after living in DC and Texas. it's not just teriyaki sauce on chicken, it's so much more. This place had really juicy chicken that had just the right amount of sauce and it was so good. They're on GrubHub so I can order in if I don't feel like the 15-minute drive. I'm full and happy!
This afternoon, I'm going to see the new Nicholas Cage thriller and I plan on eating popcorn and having some wine so that might just end up being dinner. No plans other than that.
Hope you all have a good day!

DH and I went into the city for lunch. We bought subs at a “new to us” sub place and then took them to the waterfront. We found a picnic table in the shade and enjoyed our scenic lunch.
Tonight we are going to my friends house for supper. I’ve made a pasta salad to take with us. It’s a hot one so I’m hoping for a breeze as we will be eating in their deck.
DH and my brother want to do an overnight ATV trip to ride some trails. I’ve invited myself, along with SIL to go along. I’m now looking for accommodations for one night that is close to the trails and the water. SIL and I will entertain ourselves while the boys are riding.

leannec....I love that picture, you are all adorable!!!
Been a lazy kind of day here, after I took the watermelon I bought on thursday back to the market...it was so bad...I went to cut it up last night and it was "leaking" It certainly seemed fine when I bought it😱😱 Headed out to sit under my tree and read my book.
Dinner will be grilled steak tips, a salad and some fries in the AF. My vote was for corn, however DH is corned out🤣🤣

You will need to test for several more days to be sure it is not covid. It isnt like the early days whefe people would test positive within a day of getting sick. It can take 4-5 (or more) days to get a positive result. Hope you feel better soon and glad you stayed home.

I'm going to see the new Nicholas Cage thriller Please come back after the movie and give us a review! It was definitely unique and Nicholas Cage is about as creepy as I've ever seen him so that's saying a lot. I was expecting something along the lines of Seven or Silence of the Lambs so I was hoping to be really disturbed and I wasn't. I'd like to see it again now that I know the ending (although that is also ambiguous) so I'll definitely be watching when it comes out on streaming.
