We had to say goodbye to the fat shih tzu the other day.

We are crushed.  Meeka was our first dog and the best first dog a family could ask for.  So calm and loving.  She loved treats, naps, visitors, car rides, bouncy ball (when younger) and playing bite bite/wrestling with hubby.  She did not like baths or thunder storms. Our daughter has some health problems and Meeka was the best comfort when she was going through some really difficult medication side effects and just bad days.  She would keep my feet warm on cold days and her love was the best stress reducer.
