We do peas and have for years. The animal shelter put out a PSA in like 2012/2013 about feeding ducks bread and the illnesses it can cause. They gave safe options with the post. I know people wants signs posted but that never happened.

We fed ducks bread heels all the time as kids. Sigh. Poor guys.
Now we know better and do better.

It is actually accurate. While it has no nutritional value, it can cause ducks wing issues. And on top of that, it pollutes the water and cause growth that makes the ducks sick and attrack rodents you don't want as well as other insects/bugs that can cause damage. |
