I can't post my daughters this year. She's a high school Spanish teacher(and dept head) and just finished her Masters. School board made it policy that they arent allowed to. Makes me mad.. thing is she'd posted one today on Facebook not knowing, but another teacher messaged her telling her she should take it down..
So dang dumb.

Um, YOU can make a wishlist for her and share it here. No one needs to know. The stuff came from "family and friends" who want to help her out in her classroom. If she brings stuff in slowly or it just shows up at her house?

Does she live in a state especially known for handicapping teachers and dumbing down cirricula?

To ALL the teachers... Consider a few $10 gift cards that you would be able to combine for more costly items. Or they would make items more affordable for you to pay the balance to purchase.. Great idea. Just added a few to mine. Just an FYI for teachers, Staples and Target are starting their back to school sales. I know that I go there each year to pick up supplies for my classroom and figure most other teachers do too. I can usually find the items there cheaper than Amazon. Crayola colored pencils and markers for 99 cents. Crayons for 50 cents. Folders, glue, spiral notebooks and pencil boxes are also on sale.

You also don’t have an address. With gifting you will not see the shipping address, just a name.. I understand but that was not there. When I sent to a few others I got so and so’s wishlist as an address choice without an address. The few I said didn’t have an address did not have this option. I’m the only choice. I did post on the post above that one how to fix this. If they read the comment they should be set. I came on to send a few more so we’ll see.

You don’t have an address. On your list page click the more at the right top, then manage list, then share my shipping address with sellers. That should give people an address to have it shipped to. Fixed it - thanks for letting me know! Let me know if it doesn’t work. You’re all set! I set you something!

My 23 yr old dd is the teacher for a K-2 special education room. Last year she started off as a classroom para for this room while taking the extra courses needed to be a teacher in this type of room. She graduated with her elementary Ed degree last May. Half way thru the year the teacher in this room left so they did some emergency thing where she could be the teacher (she already could sub) for the rest of the school year. She’s been ask, and accepted the teacher position for this coming school year. She has a heart of gold and this type of room is so fitting for her. Please don’t be surprised that her list does have pull-ups on it. All her students still wear them and most don’t send extras to school. Here is to hoping I can link to the list properly. www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/WEKHLI1AIQ8F?ref_=wl_share Your link goes to an 8th grade history teacher's list, so thinking maybe you pasted the wrong link. I’m so sorry, I accidentally linked to a friends list. I have edited my original post to have my daughter’s list.

This is a list purely for classroom WANTS not needs! NOTHING on it is a dire need for my classroom/my kids/me. When school starts again, I will be putting in a purchase order for most of the stuff on it so please don't feel like you must purchase from it- we have a good chunk of money coming to our school this year that will need to be spent or we will lose it. I'd rather you help out first year teachers or those who NEED things for their classrooms. As always- LOVE THE PEAS and how much they support one another! www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/29TLLOUUYXSH4?ref_=wl_share

Thank you to peasquared for the books she sent me! It means so much! We had to fight to pass our budget and with that comes cuts in department budgets. I will be sharing everything I get with my department. The Learning Disabilities book is going to be so great! I’m anxious to get started on it! We’ve always used a discrepancy model and last year the state made changes and we are doing a patterns of strength and weaknesses model that we struggled with last year because a lot of our kids showed weaknesses all around and didn’t qualify for services. It was heartbreaking! I’m hoping this will give us a little more insight into this issue. Again, thank you so much!

I'm a high school counselor. I've never done a wishlist before this year because I thought resources should go to classroom teachers. However, this past year, I spent $100+ on snacks for my students each month. I had dozens of students in and out of my office each day to grab a snack. Besides fueling them, it was a great way for me to connect with students and create relationships with them in a casual/non-intrusive way. It really helped to have created these relationships when the students needed to come to me about critical issues. My school is small - less than 600 students - in rural Eastern Washington. Our entire district qualifies for free/reduced lunch. Any help would be greatly appreciated! www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1JBZG7OSXQ3RW?ref_=wl_shareA couple of snacks are on the way! Thank you so much Kellee!! It's very much appreciated!

Can I just say that this is absolutely one of the most stupid things I've heard in a long time? So, our teachers aren't paid nearly enough and then they aren't allowed to have assistance? Who invited that kid to the party?
Post the list w/your info and then just give the stuff to her. No one has to know that she didn't buy it. That almost seems like a violation of her privacy. She's allowed to get gifts.
Wow. I'm angry for you.
I'll post ds's list if he needs anything. At the high school level, he doesn't need much. Elementary school teachers get the cute creative stuff.

At the high school level, he doesn't need much. He might need maps or posters of some sort ... and maybe cool pens and paperclips and folders and highlighters! Doesn't he decorate his room at all? Just in a simple manly way? . He could ask for tasteful borders and stuff to hang from the ceiling ... or a nice lamp for his desk!

The peas have been very generous w/posters and even copies of the board games that he doctors up for his lessons.
I'm excited that your dd is going to have her classroom this year, leannec. She's lucky to have a mom who was also a middle school teacher.

Make sure he checks to see if he can have stuff hanging from the ceiling! We can't have any in our district because it sets off the alarms at night. If he doesn't yet have white board magnetic borders, those might be helpful. I use mine to split up my board when I have multiple classes or kids working. I cut them to size widthwise because I didn't want 2" wide chunks taking up real estate. SUPER easy to do with an x-acto knife.

I received 2 beautiful gifts today!
Peasquared… thank you so much for the headphones. Not only will many littles come without, many will break over the course of the year and it will be nice to have some to hand out as needed.
An anonymous pea friend sent some cardstock to our class. This is perfect for making flashcards for some of strugglers to take home. I also use it to print learning games.
Thank you so much!

I was so excited to receive a package of stickers today. They were sent anonymously, but thank you so much to whomever sent them. They are much appreciated. I use stickers to motivate my students to reread their books at home to their grown-ups for extra practice.

My daughter is starting her first year as a Kindergarten teacher in an inner city school with a high refugee population. It is crazy that when we all started at Two Peas WE were the teachers. My daughter was born right when I discovered two peas when many of our conversations were about having small children. Now those small children are the age we were, and we have moved on to more "mature" woman conversations (menopause yay!). I have not been a part of any group that has lasted like this one. I'm sure we will be in our 90s sharing our lives then as well. My daughter has grown up hearing about my "scrapbook board" and what the woman there have to say on just about every topic. She scrapbooked with me as a small child with many of the items that I got from swaps at Two Peas in the old days. Here is her link to her wishlist www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/NMILBYISG6DP?ref_=wl_shareShe would greatly appreciate any help for her classroom.

I'm about to start my 29th year of teaching! Retirement is on the near horizon! As such, I don't need anything.
However, I want to express how grateful I was when the Peas stepped up to help when many of us unexpectedly found ourselves teaching from home during COVID. I remember asking for a small tripod, an additional camera, and large baggies to send care packages to students. It was comforting knowing the Peas had our backs during that very difficult time of uncertainty. It has not been forgotten. Thank you.
Time for me to pay it forward!
To the new teachers, thank you for taking on a profession that is rewarding, exhausting, and valued. You've got this!
