Razors

Does anyone have any recommendations for razors? Something that actually gives me a smooth shave and doesn’t need to be replaced every time I use them?
I have always used the Gillette Venus brand, but their price jumped and I grabbed a package of Flamingo razors at Costco. What a waste-they seem to drag across my skin and not even shave well. Like they’re dull right out of the package.
What is everyone using?

Following because I don’t like the Flamingo razors either. I bought some at Costco but got so many nicks and razor burn from them I don’t even want to use them up. I’m hoping someone has some good suggestions because my teenager wants to upgrade from the electric razor that I gave her when she started shaving her legs last year but I’m sure not giving her the Flamingo ones! They’re terrible.

I use Harry's - I get mine delivered via mail subscription but they do sell them in the stores now as well

Ya'll need to use a razor marketed to men. Whatever the new Gillette Mach is. I think I have the Mach3 and it's a freaking champ.
I shave about every 3 days, buy the Costco size replacement when they're on sale, and can go years without buying new blades.

I get the Venus Deluxe Smooth set at Costco. I get 2 when on sale and they each last 5 days. So I get over 3 months for way cheaper than buying at Target, CVS, etc.
$28 at Target for only 6 heads.
$37 regular price for 11. I get them when $26.
I have thick hair and get no nicks, cuts, burn on my legs. My underarms is another story. VERY sensitive skin.
Anyways, I use either my dove sensitive body wash or CeraVe foaming face wash as shave gel.

I use Venus Comfortglide plus Olay Coconut. Refills are expensive but it’s the only razor that I’m happy with. I get a smooth save and never any nicks. I’ve been using it for so many years and won’t switch to anything else.

I bought some Venus razors at Costco awhile back and hate them. The handle is slippery and they don’t glide along my legs or armpits well at all. I’m trying to use them up but just bought some of the up and up 5 blade razors from target and they are much better.

I use Billie. I got a subscription years ago for dd. She doesn't use them all up before the next comes. So I started splitting it with her. I got ds one for Harry at the same time. He uses his even less. So I changed the frequency and split it with him and dh.
Both of these can also be found at Target and CVS. I think the pricing is the same. Just doesn't have the convenience of being delivered on a schedule.

I use Bic Soliel and have for years. One of the few benefits to aging is you don't have to shave your legs and arm pits nearly as often. Something to look forward to

Mens razors are much sturdier and dont have the annoying "moisture strip". Ive been using Gilette men's razors for a few years now and they are far better quality than any "women's" razor

I used to use Venus as well. And then I did try Flamingo and hated them. Right now, I use Harry's and I am perfectly happy with them.

I use Venus, but rarely shave. My dd who is a more daily shaver uses Billie and really likes them.

I use the Bic Soleil Escape razors. Five blades, 4 razors in the pack and I buy them at Walmart. One razor lasts me a long time through many shaves. When I think the one for my legs has had enough, I retire it to use on my armpits. Like lisae said, hair doesn't grow as fast when you're old. I shave my armpits every few months at the most.

I love the recommendations. I hate buying a razor and then be disappointed with it. I have quite a few that sat in my drawer for a long time and I finally tossed them in the donation box.
My grandson had is hair cut last week and had a shave at the same time. He was out running erands with me and as we were continuing on with the errands, he kept saying he couldn't believe how smooth and soft his face was. He told me they used a Harry's razor.

I use Intuition and love them but only get 2-3 shaves per blade. I like them and replace when they go on sale.
I do love Mach something ones but I found I cut myself too often. (Truth:once).

Anyways, I use either my dove sensitive body wash or CeraVe foaming face wash as shave gel. I learned from a pea many years ago to use conditioner and have never gone back. I find it to be better than body wash for shaving. Cheap stuff is fine.

I’ve used Billie for several years and started when it was a subscription service. I can buy it at Walmart so that’s what I do now. I’m happy with the brand.

DH and I use Athena Club which is a subscription service. The blades would come faster than we could use them so we have them on pause for now. We both like them though. He shaves his face daily and I shave legs and pits about 1-2 times a week. My hair is thin and not real course.

I do the Dollar Shave Club with the 6 blade. I get a monthly subscription and stock up enough for a 2 year supply and then I cancel until I need to do it again. I switch out my blade monthly (and that is with me shaving daily).
