Oh wow! My niece posted her unanounced visitor to her home a couple of days ago. It was a big one, but your visitor looks a whole lot bigger than hers was. She gets 2-3 bear sightings a year where she lives.
Glad he didn't decide to stay!

Ah brings back memories …we lived in Woodstock NY for several years and had regular unannounced visitors like yours. At one point the dog was on a chase after the bear, and all I could do was pray the bear would run faster than the dog or it would be bad news for doggie.

Yikes, that looks like a big one! I think I’d be especially be taken aback to see it on its hind legs like that. Was it trying to get to a bird feeder or something?

How cool is that? Some friends of ours who live in Brevard, NC have them in their yard all the time.
We do get deer here frequently and little red foxes occasionally.

😳 Wow, that is definitely a visitor I wouldn’t want to see in my backyard! Although it would be interesting to watch for a while (as long I was sure they couldn’t get in!)
