Anyone take these?
Specifically GLP-1s.
My PCP recommended checking into it because of the costs involved in some meds (not just weight loss stuff). I guess that's one way of knowing he's not sold out to big pharma. LOL

Isn't a GLP-1 the various weight loss shots? You can look around at various pharmacies to see cost.
Ds has been on compound meds and the max we can be charged with insurance is $35. ETA we had to pick them up from the hospitals pharmacy as at the time there were no other compound pharmacies around. Then CVS started to carry them.

I know the cost is way different. I was just wondering if anyone had noticed any differing side effects from the regular/generic vs. compounds.

I have been in a compounded semiglutide for just over a year and have lost 70lbs. I get it ordered through a nurse practitioner. Because it is prescribed I am able to get it reimbursed through our FSA account.
One thing I have done a little bit different is that I have stayed at a low dose. Mine is measured in “cc” units. I stayed at 10 and every 4 weeks can go up 10 to max out at 100. I stayed at 20-25 for the first six months and then went to 30-35 since then. That has helped me extend how much it costs me since my dose is still relatively low.
My side effects have mostly been constipation so I have to be aware of eating fiber. I contract my calories and protein so it was not a magic shot that made me not eat. I am still hungry at times but not ravenous.
