austnscrapaddict , I'm thrilled to see you back here. Oh my goodness. We lost some tribe members and it isn't the same. Thank you for coming back to us. I, too am waiting for puppy photos. Welcome back! Woot. Woot. teddyw, I love your idea about jeremysgirl keeping a cart next to her desk. I've never been to Italy, but my sil is a world traveler. She just loved the Almafi coast, especially the wine.

I already ate DS’s rechauffe kung pao shrimp from yesterday’s lunch, so I can’t have that for dinner. (Ate my rechauffe General Tso’s chicken for dinner last night, so that’s out. Anything to avoid cooking.) So whatever, it may just be cheese and crackers plus fruit salad, because I have a ton of aging fruit I want to use up. scrapmaven, have a wonderful time on your adventure with DS. A belated happy birthday to jeremysgirl and karenlou! eeeek, stormsts! I’m just glad there wasn’t damage to your house or any people. **GypsyGirl**, my thoughts continued to be with you and DH. Wishing him a quick, full recovery. rymeswithpurple, you and DH need to get better quick, too! austnscrapaddict, welcome back. You were missed. Stick around this time!

leannec, lucyg Thanks! We're certainly trying. DH is in and out of sleep on the sofa, and I'm just mindlessly scrolling around online. I think the omeprazole is helping, but it's also only been a few days. I suppose I could tack on an appointment on Friday if needed if I'm feeling crummy. It feels like it's been a crappy few months, health-wise. Sigh. On the plus side, we started season 4 of The Sopranos last night and are still enjoying it! I think we'll check out Boardwalk Empire after we finish The Sopranos.

I finally feel really better with just occasional cough. now my kid caught it. so haven't done much at all for the past 5 days.
leftover chicken kabobs from last night's takeout for dinner. cleaning lady in today, so it looks nice. I am thinking about how to get rid of a bunch of furniture and move in my new storage and file cabinets upstairs. I have to get busy, as i only have a couple of weeks to make progress before a week of vacation and then my dd and her wife arrive from new zealand and we have an intense 3 weeks of travel and outdoor fun.
dh is still gone in idaho and I get a lot more done when he is gone.

oh, and I wanted to update you all on my health status. I don’t remember what I posted or when, so: I think I have already told you my colon cancer has metastasized to my lungs. (But I continue to feel absolutely fine.) Nearly three months later, I’m finally starting treatment next Monday, as part of a clinical trial, but I’m in the control group. That means I’ll have the same standard chemo-style treatment I’d get if I weren’t in the study, but I will not have the additional immunotherapy that 2/3 of those in the study are getting. After Monday, I’ll be going back for additional infusions every two weeks on Tuesdays. I have appointments scheduled through mid-September. Treatment will continue until it either stops working or the side effects become intolerable. (Sounds appetizing, yes?) My oncologist has another patient on the same protocol and says she is doing great and feeling very well. So that sounds good. I’ll also be taking a daily pill at home. Wish me luck!!

austnscrapaddict welcome back taylortroop poor Walker and you! lucyg I'm surprised you know which group you are in. Grey's Anatomy clearly is wrong in their depictions. Praying for you and your treatment. Get well wishes and prayers for all who are ill right now. My furbaby has an ear infection. Discovered it last night and got a cancellation appointment for tomorrow though I had to cancel my PT appointment. Fortunately I at least have ear cleansers. Poor guy. Had a great lunch visit with a dear friend. We met when our kids were in preschool. So great to catch up. Tonight is rechauffe.

lucyg @**GypsyGirl** Lots of good thoughts coming your way. I hate thinking you are both dealing with so much right now. Today was a quiet day. I didn’t accomplish as much as I had planned but I enjoyed the few chores I worked on and was able to spend some time reading. Dinner was leftover steak and veggies from last night. Tomorrow I may actually have to make something!

lucyg , I'm upset that you didn't get into the arm of the trial that will get the immunotherapy. Still, you're doctor is fighting for you. What can we do to support you in your fight? You're a strong lady, but that doesn't mean that you have to do this alone. You have friends here. All the luck in the world is headed your way.
