bc2ca what an ordeal. I’m glad you have a really good team. Keeping you in my thoughts and praying for the best possible outcome. Thank goodness your family has stepped up for you. Happy Birthday paget. Your dinner location sounds nice. Enjoy your days off. Enjoy your trip with your ds scrapmaven. @stormst it just seems like here pedicure costs have skyrocketed and they don’t do a good job. I’m putting off my Italy one til the last possible second. A storm came through but now it’s so hot & humid. Dh has wanted a bigger tv in the living room so he posed it as me wanting a frame tv. He’s hanging it now. jeremysgirl your coworker never ceases to amaze me. Not doing mornings?! Most businesses do mornings. Dinner is steak & veggie kabobs with Brussels sprouts & salad.

Jeremy harvested basil. I made three batches of pesto. So apparently it is pasta for dinner tonight. I have some tomatoes, zucchini, and yellow squash.

I know I already wished you happy birthday on the birthday thread paget, and I’m going to say it again: happy birthday!! 🥳 I popped in today because I heard a whisper that someone special was joining us today after a long absence. bc2ca I have replied to you reply 😉 and I just want to repeat that I am so happy to ‘see’ you, and so sorry for your diagnosis. It sounds like you have a great team around you.

scrapmaven enjoy your trip! Also buy the roomba! I am loving mine especially when it goes under my bed king size bed. Just for that alone! lucyg and **GypsyGirl** Praying and send you both ((hugs)). sueg Sounds like you needed a do nothing kind of day. Praying for good results. paget Happy birthday! That's the way to celebrate! My DH always takes off for his birthday too. bc2ca I am so sorry to hear what you have been going through. I'm glad you have such a great team. Praying for you as well. destined2bmom and scrappintoee missing you both! My poor furbaby has an ear infection and hopefully not a foxtail. Once the medication is fully given and the ear has a chance to dry out we will return to rule out the foxtail. Hopefully it's just hair. At least he's letting me give him his ear meds. He has calmed down some since the last time he had an ear infection (over a year ago). Fielding lot of difficult calls from others going through things and find it emotionally exhausting. Tonight I join karenlou having Costco chicken for dinner with some rice and veggies from the garden.

I've been sorta absent for the last few weeks on this thread - we've had a lot going on, mostly good. I've missed you all, but have not had time or energy to read and/or post much. We've been working really hard on getting our house ready to go on the market so some days we just fall into bed (late) exhausted. Soooooo much to do!
I am still intermittently experiencing excessive itchiness in my eyes. It'll go away for a week or more, then I'll have a day where I want to scratch my eyeballs out and can't wear my contacts. But those days are fewer and father between, so whatever it is, I guess it's getting better...?! I have been using lubricating eye drops and antihistamine eye drops to help.
For dinner we had corn & tomato cobbler (Smitten Kitchen) and a vegetable-heavy beef & broccoli stir-fry (w/lots of other veggies, including snow peas which I love). It was so good! We've also been enjoying some really great peaches we got from Georgia Costco.
Sorry to hear about so many of you going through not-so-fun diagnoses for yourselves or other family members. ((Hugs))

bc2ca I'm so glad to see you, but I am sorry that you're enduring so much. You are part of our tribe and if you only post now and then we know it's due to illness. I am thinking the most healing thoughts for you. May you have the best outcome possible. You are amongst friends.

Thank you all for the very kind thoughts. I expect Monday to be a long day but hopefully not too difficult. Tomorrow will be a busy day so I may not get around to posting. Dinner will be with the gentleman friend at the home of a couple who are friends of both of ours. We were supposed to have dinner there a few weeks ago, but they got COVID, and we ended up just making dinner for them and dropping it off. So now we’re trying again. bc2ca, I’m so glad to see you posting again, but so very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Grateful you're finally getting the right care, and wishing you all the best on this journey. I have missed your presence in the dinner thread. Hope you can continue to pop in from time to time.

We've been working really hard on getting our house ready to go on the market so some days we just fall into bed (late) exhausted. Soooooo much to do! I roped my ex into do all the yucky work to get our house ready to sell awhile back! My only job was to keep the place clean after it was staged because I was the only one living there ... Living in the house while that renovation was going on made me super sick ... like deathly ill ... never again! It's great to see you posting again!
