I got an email late last night that my Silhouette account was now enabled. I didn’t think much of it, and went to bed. This morning I had a FB account recovery code email. So, I know someone is probably trying to hack my FB account. But, is the Silhouette one also a hack attempt? Has anyone else ever got that message from Silhouette? The software is on the old computer in the craft room so I haven’t checked it yet.

Silhouette has had some major issues with a site upgrade that left many users unable to access their libraries for several weeks. They said they would be sending out emails to users as soon as they are eligible to sign in. Knowing that I'd expect your Silhouette email is legit.

I received the same email. Since I haven't been on the program in months, I did need to update mine so went directly to the website. While digging on the website I found this media statement. Back in May they migrated servers and some people have had issues. This addresses those.

Gads, their website is buggy. I couldn't click on anything and when it did open, it was like 3 seconds later. I was curious what the machines they have now are, but I couldn't get anything to open up. Haven't tried logging in or opening the software yet.

I got the email. I last used my Silhouette a few weeks ago but it has been a few weeks since I used the account. Facebook seems to be fine though I don't use it much.

I got that same email, after contacting them 3 times online, and once banging on the door of their offices! My account has NOT been fixed. Even after talking to customer service face to face it is NOT fixed. Their site is a mess and they have transferred all their IT dept to England. I can't seem to find a way to resolve it and guess I just have to rebuy $34 of files they didn't ever attach to my account. It's not the money, it's the irritation of not being able to get help. Their "customer service" is a misnomer! There is no service!

Yes, Silhouette was majorly messed up for a while. It was right at the time I replaced my original Cameo with the most recent model. Frustrating to say the least, it’s nice now that it all back to normal.

Luckily I haven't needed to use my machine this whole time of the site upgrade so I haven't had any problems. I just decided to wait until they put out the all clear and go from there. I would be livid if I was someone losing designs I paid for or being charged a subscription fee still.

Same here. I got the same email and I also haven't used my Silhouette in years. Not being aware that it even had problems, I didn't click on any links just in case, and resolved to check next time I was online. Then I forgot. Of course I did. Thanks for this thread!

I’m in several Silhouette FB groups and have been following the drama for months. My machine has been bricked and I haven’t used it in ages. I went out and bought a Cricut Joy Xtra and subscribed to Cricut Access. That little machine indeed has been a “joy”to use.
So far, I’ve not received an email. I’m not sure I even care at this point in time. I’m in the process of downsizing my paper crafting supplies and I’ve pretty much decided to give my machine away. That is, I will, IF can ever get online and deactivate it. Sheesh.

Hooray! My files miraculously appeared this morning! It only took 40 days from payment to installation. I have a feeling that the young man who came to the door of Silhouette, after my pounding, really did have to enter them manually.

I actually used mine last night. I can’t get into the store or my account but the software was fine.
Nothing like rage crafting 🫥. I couldn’t get my machine to cut through the vinyl the right way so I had to troubleshoot and wasted a lot of it. I had to go to Michael’s to get more half an hour before they closed and then do a bunch of test runs on the damn thing. 2.5 hours later I finally got it to work. I was ready to pitch it out the window.
As an aside I recently got back into sewing and it doesn’t aggravate me nearly as much.
