I woke up to find DH was not here (he usually works from home) so I am assuming it has something to do with this and he had to go into work. He's been gone too long to go do something fun like buy me donuts...

I was affected. I was taking my SIL to the train station this morning at 6:00 am. None of the Starbucks around here were doing mobile orders. I had to go in and place my order and WAIT for it. In my PJ’s. Oh, the humanity.

My friend just posted in our group chat that during the initial conference call the announcement that Starbucks mobile orders were down brought the biggest gasp from everyone.

My husband does IT for the state Dept of Justice. he got called into the main state crime lab today. All of their computers blue screened. I'm assuming other guys on his team got called out to the other two crime labs in the state to try to get things up and running again.

I was at our bank a couple of days ago and their system was completely down. I wonder if that has anything to do with this.

I was traveling for work this week and flew home last night. Despite a flight delay, I'm glad I got home! We thought about staying over another night since Southwest was moving flights around all over the place last night. Some of my co-workers are stuck with no end in sight today.

My DS said his computer updated because he left it on overnight and seems to be fine. He did get a notice from someone that says he doesn't think people fully grasp how big this is. Around a billion computers are bricked worldwide, mostly corporate ones. Every affected computer will have to be rebooted in fail mode and have a driver manually removed. So IT department personnel will have to do this as he can't imagine most users doing this themselves.

Not affecting us. School districts, banks, hospitals, care centers, vet, stores, drive thrus are all up and running. Same for emergency services.
Only issue in my area is the local airport. All flights since yesterday are grounded.

DH works for the federal government. They are shut down for the rest of the day. Just in some areas though, not nation-wide. Federal operating status here in the DC area is normal.

I was able to login to my Citibank Visa and my Wells Fargo bank accounts. When I went to the library they had to handle the checkouts because the auto-checkout computers were down.

I work in NY, and we just had major storm rip through here this week. Part of my job is to call local hotels and reserve rooms for power company crews so they all have a place to stay that come from out of state while they work to restore power.
Usually not hard. Today was hard. REALLY HARD. Couldn't get through on some phone lines. When I did get through, they weren't able to look up how many rooms were available. Or couldn't book rooms. It was a major headache. I have a team of 5 and we all experienced it. I am exhausted anyway, and one place I called actually had rooms available and before I could give him my cc info, we got disconnected. So I called back and couldn't remember the name of the person I was speaking to. Normally I jot their name down, but didn't this time. The new person I was speaking with wasn't able to get into their system. So I couldn't reserve those rooms. Small stuff like that builds up to big stuff pretty fast.
The outages are getting restored though, so hopefully I won't have to come in tomorrow.

I am in South Florida - All Microsoft products down so no email. Had a ridiculously early meeting, 6:30AM (who does that at a University!??!)that lasted 30 minutes. I waited about 45 minutes, it did not come back up so I left. It is working now.

I work in an Epic hospital. We are completely down. Not all Epic hospitals are down, it must be some other component. Or else we have the shitty version and it's still running because it never updates like it should 🤣

There are still a lot of issues going on but we have a lot of our applications and systems up and running. An extremely trying day for so many. Hope all affected here are in recovery mode or did not have issues.

Not majorly. We weren't directly impacted but indirectly because of third-parties. We couldn't pull MVRs, so it made quoting hard.

I am so sorry your flight is cancelled. If you are stuck in the airport area, you may already know this, but you're pretty close to a big mall area that has restaurants and the usual mall-area stores; the staff at Miyabi Sushi nearby are super nice. I hope you're out of there quickly, however. It's incredibly frustrating.

I work at a doctor's surgery in the UK and we have had no access to the main system which stores all patient details all day. That means no access to prescriptions, appointments, patient records. We've had 2 on the team taking calls and I've been attempting to do CPD training, but it's been almost impossible with the noise of the calls going on. People don't understand that we can't see anything. I find it really strange how people have no idea what medication they're taking; the name, strength, dose. The number of people who have told me it's a little white tablet in a blue box, and they think it might be for their blood pressure.

Our airports are a bit chaotic 😏 Our local GP practise has asked people only to ring in of its urgent because they can’t access their records/database etc. Our biggest local supermarket is only accepting cash due to online difficulties. So yes, a lot of people will be affected in some way or other today across the globe. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp4wnrxqlewoThis is when all those people who always answer they never have cash (and don’t remember the last time they used it) on them may decide to change that for the next incident. 😉😄 I almost always have cash, but I don't always take it into the store with me. I was blissfully hiking in the mountains most of the day, so no concerns for me personally.

The application I use for outpatient testing was down all morning. Had to cancel all the morning patients. My first of the day was a 91 year old. I felt terrible telling him that I couldn’t do his test and would have to reschedule. Everyone was really nice about it except for one woman. I don’t think she truly grasped what was going on.

A lot of computers down in our hospital system, and our Epic was down for a few hours in the early morning. My department had enough computers running that we could do our job, and our surgery didn’t have to cancel any cases. The biggest issue for many of our employees, including my boss, was that our lobby Starbucks was also closed 😏.

Stranded in Indianapolis, after ny father-in-law's funeral until Sunday. Friday night flight canceled and next direct flight is Sunday night. Grrrrr
I was wondering about work and epic. Glad I didn't have to deal with that potential cluster.

In my PJ’s. Oh, the humanity. That is NOT ok! MSP airport is still a huge mess. I'm hoping my grandson makes it back tomorrow on his scheduled flight. Otherwise his dad is going to have to drive him the 12 hours back here for his hockey tournament. At least that is an option!
