Most of mine are 2-page layouts. If the subject matter/photos don't easily lend themselves to a double-page LO, then I'll still usually try to make the facing pages have some continuity.

I used to do two-page layouts way more often. Then one day I realized I don't have to do that. So now I usually just do one-pagers. Every so often I'll throw in a two-page spread. Maybe 1 out of 20 or so? Here's the last one I did, which is pretty recent actually. It was over a year ago but one of the more recent layouts I've created. It's very unusual for me to use such busy paper as a background but I couldn't resist when I saw it because it reminded me of the palace in England where we stayed a few years ago. I often use vellum to create pockets that can hold large memorabilia that keeps it somewhat visible but not really a focus. no longer home by Seanna., on Flickr

Do you do 1 or 2 page layouts? How many photos do you usually use on a layout? What size photos do you like to use the most? Layouts are typically single pages, except for events that require 2+ pages. I typically scrap 4x6 photos (usually straight out of the camera, sometimes trimmed to eliminate unwanted background or use 6x6 patterned papers as mats, & occasionally enlarged to 5x7 or 8x10). Each 12x12 layout may feature 0-3 (4x6) photos, although 1-2 are the norm, with various sizes/configuration of page protectors to hold any extra photos/memorabilia.
