Is the board really slow today, or am I checking too much?

I hosted another party today. That is my second this week. I am kind of tired and am thanking goodness that I have ac in the house.

It is too darned hot here to do much. I did go out earlier to do a little light yard work in my back yard and to pick a few raspberries. I learned they are seedless raspberries which makes me really happy. There were not many ripe yet but there are tons of green berries that will be ripening soon. I will just have to keep checking because I don’t know how long it takes to go from fully formed and green to red and ripe.. I think I am going to try making raspberry chipotle sauce. I loved the stuff that Costco carried but they have not had it the past few shopping trips.

The darned berry bush wants to take over the whole yard, sending 10ft long spiked runners everywhere. I had to get them cut back just so I could walk down the path without being cut to ribbons from their sharp thorns. And while cutting the runners and checking to make sure I wasn’t cutting anything with berries almost ready, I pulled some branches back to discover blueberries! I had no idea there was a blueberry bush back there. I just harvested what I could reach from the path and will go out early tomorrow to pick the rest of the ripe blueberries before it gets hot. They are predicting 96 degrees tomorrow. I wonder if I will find another type of berry back there.

I love blueberries and I am thrilled to have them growing in the yard. Although they were not planted in the best spot for harvesting them. I should move it so that it has more room and to give me better access to the berries.

Both the NSBR and the General Scrapbooking board are slow.

Maybe everyone should start a new thread on any given subject...., to get the board moving.
