I have fucked around all morning. I hate feeling like I'm wasting time. Today I'm blaming you leannec 😂 it got to be 10 am and I was like, I'll just stay in PJs a little longer, the dinner thread will be up at 11 and then I'll shower. And I kept checking. And I kept checking. And then finally it got to noon and it wasn't up and I was like, get your ass in the shower! You can't wait any longer! No excuses! 🤣 So I've just gotten out of the shower. I am not blaming you Leanne. I fucking hate to shower. I have a terrible mental block with showering. I have to force myself in there every day. It's bipolar. Feel free to blame me! No problem!   I also hate to take showers ... complete waste of time ... especially the washing of the hair part!   leannec, It's so nice to hear your excitement about your friends visiting. What do the three of you like to do when you play tourist? When does your friend have to move out of her current place? We are doing some of the REAL Calgary touristy things when they are here ... her husband has never been to Alberta and she hasn't been here in almost 25 years! We are going up the Calgary Tower and will eat in the revolving restaurant ... going to visit a wolfdog sanctuary in Cochrane ... going to the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller (dinosaurs) ... spending a day in Banff ... going to a dinner theatre evening ... I am going to be TIRED! But it will be FUN!   We found my friend a place today so if she is approved by the landlord she will move on September 1st ... she has to be out of her place by November 1st ... I am with you on showering but I love shaving. I always have a fresh blade and love it. I use a Intuition razor and have loved this step for a long time. I am with anyone who hates washing their hair. It just squicks me out. |

Also this weekend is a Buck Moon (think) and will be full tonight and tomorrow. I love looking at the full moon and thinking of my mum whose name was Dianne or Diana Goddess of the Moon.

We wound up having pasta for dinner. DH made the sauce, but thought it was too acidic. He likes to let his marinate throughout the day when he makes it for potlucks (pun not intended). We are going to try to not speed through The Sopranos tonight, since we only have 2 seasons left. I think Boardwalk Empire will be our next show. Other suggestions welcome!I highly recommend Poldark and Billions! Highly! And DH loved these also! Time to research! Thanks! |

Also this weekend is a Buck Moon (think) and will be full tonight and tomorrow. I love looking at the full moon and thinking of my mum whose name was Dianne or Diana Goddess of the Moon. Is it really a full moon tonight? I never make it to dark. 😂 |

Is it really a full moon tonight? I never make it to dark. 😂 Dexter needs a late final trip outside so I take him out about 10:30. Since the other dog moved out Dexter goes out a third of the number of times he used to. The stress is gone for him. |

The peaches Jeremy brought me weren't ripe enough. So I switched gears. My neighbor has brought me several ears of sweet corn. So I roasted it and mixed it with pinto beans and green chilies. Spices, lime juice. I served my flautas with tomato salsa and a little mashed avocado with lime juice.  |

mmm, jeremysgirl, your dinner looks (and sounds) good! We had GF Chicken Parmesan - it was sooo good and we ate every last scrap of it. I had been craving it and I'm glad we had the time to make it today. |
