I placed a medium sized order (for me, about 45.00) from Picket Fence Studios-direct from them. I have ordered several times before and the items have been packaged nicely, a bit of tissue folded around them and in a box. In the box was a printout of my order and a handwritten note on it that said "Thank you so much for your order!" or something like that. There is always a little freebie in there too, like sequins, or something tiny.
Got my order today and it was my items crammed into an (almost) too small yellow envelope, no tissue, no order print out, no note, no little gift. I mean, I got my items, so I can't really complain although there is no way that the shipping for that little envelope cost what I paid in shipping and processing my order took 4 business days and I would almost swear that there was a 4th of July special running where if you spent over 25.00 you got a free stamp. But I can't find that promo now and I didn't really care about it, but I do care a little about feeling like a valued customer and having such a drastic change. Or was it just my order? It wasn't clearance stuff.
Anyone else order from Picket Fence lately and have a change, or a different experinece than I did? Just curious....I am not complaining to them, as nothing was truly wrong. It just wasn't as fun of a package opening as I thought it would be.

I think it wouldn't hurt to reach out to them and ask if they changed their shipping and handling practices so you know moving forward. I can see with the cost of shipping having increased they may have changed their system.
And if they were inundated with orders they have skipped the print out. I think only twice have I not received one from ACOT.

I haven’t ordered from them but I can understand your reaction. I don’t know if it was a change in policy to save money time or materials, or a one-off, maybe they were extra busy and had amateur help. But I don’t imagine you’ll be eager to order from them again any time soon to find out. Opening a package where it looks like someone has just thrown things inside is a downer - like when they throw the self adhesive strip waste into the package instead of taking the care to put it in the bin? That carelessness just doesn’t feel good.
