I have room to do either and choose to stand. I also can get my makeup on in a few short minutes, so my whole morning routine is done in under 5-10 minutes.

I've pretty much stopped wearing makeup these days except for special occasions. When I do put it on, I stand. I treated myself to a lighted magnifying mirror that's hard-wired into the wall over my vanity a few years ago and it makes makeup so much easier! No more leaning forward to try to see an inch or so from the mirror (which hurts my back).

Have always stood. Never felt like I was close enough to mirror unless I used a tabletop mirror.

I stand in front of the mirror in the bathroom. I only wear make up when I have to go into the office for work, and if we go out on the weekend, and even then I only wear foundation and mascara, so it's very quick. I don't have anywhere to sit to put on makeup, but even if I did, there would be no point because it's so quick.

I have always stood up to put makeup on. I used to do so in my bathroom but acquired more makeup than would fit in the top drawer of the vanity, so now I put it on in my bedroom (makeup is stored there). I also like to watch TV while getting ready for the day so it works best that way.

Stand. I take about 15 minutes getting ready for work, including my hair. Always in a hurry. Makeup is very light, just face to even things out, no eyes or lips.

Currently, stand. Until about 3 years ago, I had a dressing table and preferred to sit and put on makeup. Now I'm just not wearing much makeup so it seemed a waste dedicate a piece of furniture for that.

I sit, using a lighted magnifying mirror. This house doesn’t have a seating vanity in the bathroom like I have always had so I brought a small bench-type seat into the bathroom to use with the same magnifying mirror.

I stand at the bathroom mirror - we have a second mirror cabinet opposite the sink where I can stand and see up close and not have to lean over the sink. If we're traveling and I'm in a hotel room, I usually try to sit somewhere near a window for natural light. (I always travel with my magnifying mirror.)

I’ve always stood. Our previous house even had a spot in the bathroom counter for a chair, but we never put a chair there. And I never thought to put one there. I stand to blow dry my hair too.

I sit to put on makeup. But I haven't worn make up since 03/07/20, the last time I went out out. I never wore make up to work and now I'm remote. I can count on one hand how many times I've gone to a restaurant since COVID and I did't wear make up. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's probably all expired at this point.

I have always wanted a vanity. I don't have room to sit. I stand and put on my makeup. In fact, I'm going to completely switch makeup brands. My skin is very sensitive. That's another thread.

I definitely stand to do my makeup! I can see everything better and it feels more natural to me. Plus, I saw this crazy good makeup tutorial and good deals on GMA the other day using all drugstore stuff! It was mind blowing how amazing the results were. I'm totally trying it out this weekend.

I sit at my vanity in my room.
My favorite days were when I would sit on the floor of my first apartment with my friends in college. We would take turns sitting in front of each others mirrored closet doors to get ready. The best!
