I am usually sitting down and making cards or working on my junk journal. However, this last weekend I needed to make a quick card and my area in the basement got really jacked up with our bathroom remodel (large boxes needed to be moved to my area). One of the boxes held my new medicine cabinet and it was standing on its end so it came up to a perfect height to work on. And I was thinking why have I never worked standing up before?!? It was nice to be able to just move around and grab what I needed without needing to get up and down. And I felt more creative too! (could totally be in my mind on that! ) Once we get my area together, I am really thinking of getting a standup space and a sit down space to work (or get a standing desk that moves up and down). So how do you like to create?

I work sitting down --- mainly because my scrapbook room is smaller and I only have surfaces that work well with sitting. If I had a taller table, I would probably stand more.

My main crafting desk is a garage/tool workbench that is adjustable so I can sit or stand while crafting. When I remember to stand, I do enjoy it!

I have two kitchen counter height surfaces to Papercraft on. I like to be able to step between the counters to work, or other places in the room to get stuff. My back always feels better when I don’t spend too much time sitting.

I usually sit, because all of my scrap spaces are tables/desks.
But, in the past there have been a few times when I did some work on the kitchen counter while my kids crafted at our table, so I did stand then.
And in our younger, pre-kid days, I used to sit on the living room floor and craft at the coffee table while we watched a movie together, or while DH played video games.
And for about 3 months I did a tremendous amount of crafting in bed, while I was hanging out there while pregnant with my eldest.
For pure nostalgia, my favorite was the coffee table crafting. But for my older self's comfort I think avoiding sitting on the floor for hours on end sounds best, LOL!

I sit to craft - my feet/knees/hips don't care much for standing

Sitting: Assembling a layout. Looking through "miscellaneous product" binder, for any product that I might want to use. Putting product into storage binders. Sorting through 13 x 13 storage envelopes, for any product that I might want to use. Making words out of alphabet letters, punch-outs, or chipboard. Putting layouts in sheet protectors. Online scrapbook shopping.
Standing: Using paper cutter. Using Big shot. Pulling out 13 x 13 storage envelopes (that contain themes products, solid color paper, patterned paper) from the storage bib that it is in. Putting storage envelopes away.

Sitting. All the time. Nothing about standing while scrapping sounds appealing to me at all.

I scrap standing at my ez view desk from scrap box (or whatever they call themselves now 😂) - I have cushioned slides I wear so my feet and back don’t hurt but I love standing as my trimmer is on a pull out shelf below the top of the desk so I can’t really sit or I’d have to stand every time I make a cut. Best purchase ever! Stores so much stuff and I love crafting at it

I exclusively scrap at home & stand at my counter-height project table that is situated in the middle of the room. Not only do I like the "bird's eye" perspective to get things straight, but it enables me to easily access supplies & put-away-as-I-go. I have a saddle stool that I rarely lean on & an oversized comfy chair in the corner of the room where I sit to take a break, sketch, draft journaling, etc.

I have always done my paper crafting while standing up. Several years ago my husband hired a carpenter to make me a table that I can stand at and not have to keep clearing and cleaning the kitchen counters.

I have a taller desk from Ikea for scrapping. When I bought it, my plan was to be able to stand, but I rarely do so and have frankly forgotten that it's an option. I sit on a tall stool (with a back).

I sit for most things. But, my die cutting area and Cricut are at a standing desk from IKEA.

I am a sitter. I have to be due to my EDS, POTS, and Dysautonomia. I could faint or fall down. I am saving up for a cross leg chair that has a pull out part. I usually sit with a leg up bent and one crossed.
I also like to sit between my two desks as parallel to each other. So I can go from craft desk to PC desk by turning my chair and moving it about 5 inches in to each desk.

I used to stand but I was gifted a beautiful vintage desk so I sit now. But I have a table behind me that’s standing height and for some tasks or on some days I prefer to stand. Both sitting and standing can be hard on the body in different ways so it’s good for me to switch. I also have a low table with a special little kneeling stool (gets my butt/weight off my heels so everything doesn’t fall asleep) and sometimes I digiscrap or do projects there for an hour or two but that hurts different parts of my body… lol, everything hurts!

I usually stand to scrap. I have a small standing desk that I got from Michael’s years ago. I don’t have a dedicated craft room so I often have to go shuffle through supplies while I am crafting. Also I feel less creative sitting, not sure why.

Also I feel less creative sitting, not sure why. I feel this way too! The brain must just work different when I'm standing!

I sit. I have a swivel chair that makes it easy to get up and move around when I need something.

I have a sit to stand desk I used during university. I alternate between sitting and standing with no rhyme or reason other than “My back hurts. It’s time to stand now.”
