I knew the football started early, but I thought it was tomorrow, possibly because that's when the women's games start and the teams I have an interest in only have women's teams competing. I didn't realise other sports also started early. Now I just need to find our where I can watch here - I know which channels have the main events, but not sure if they have the football as well.

I just watched a two-part doc on Simone Biles on Netflix, and I am going to watch her in this Olympics. She famously walked out of the last Olympics because of mental health reasons, and I am hoping she will be a comeback kid. She is truly impressive either way, but I think it would be good for herself and the rest of us to prove that it's okay to take a mental health break and still kick ass after.
Luckily my holidays start on Friday, so I can watch some daytime events (I'm in the same time zone as Paris).

I just want to say I wish we could go back in time to regular TV days, instead of all the streaming. I liked I could get home and spend the evening watching it all on one station (even if it was taped) and not knowing the results.
I feel like this year I'm going to be hunting for everything I want to see and avoiding all media so I don't see who is winning what.

I think NBC is going to do that, at least it looks like in on the NBC in Dallas, at least according to my guide.

They will show the main events in prime time, but their Peacock network will be showing all the events live. Women’s gymnastics is very early for me, but I may get Peacock for one month just to watch it live.
