I love watching the Olympics some sports more than others of course, but I enjoy pretty well all of them.
And it doesn’t bother me in the slightest if I know who won in advance, or whether the competitors are professional or amateur, because I get the enjoyment from watching their skill and ability. I hope that doesn’t sound too precious, but it is how I honestly feel. My favourite Olympic sports to watch are track cycling, weightlifting, and rowing even though I am not interested in any of those outside the Olympics (or Commonwealth Games).

Olympics were not something that was cared about in my childhood home(s). I don't watch it as an adult.

I used to LOVE the women's gymnastics, but these days it's all changed - the complicated scoring, the restrictions and the removal of grace and humour. I still watch it, but it rarely wows me.

I LOVE the Olympics and wish I could watch all of the sports I’m interested in. My favorite is the winter, but I also love the gymnastics and gymnastics in summer. I wish they would show more than just highlights of most sports - like archery, shooting and trampoline.

I’ll watch as much as I humanly can. I love sports of all varieties, I’m watching a replay of the Spain/Uzbekistan soccer match while I type this

I learned how to play Nadia’s Theme on the piano after I saw her do the floor and bars. She was incredible.

I watched more as a kid. I’m not a big fan of the delayed broadcasts since we have so much instant news it’s almost always spoiled and the delayed broadcasts are so cut up and choppy. I hate how they cut away and go to other sports too.

I enjoy the Olympics. Love seeing people at the top of their chosen sport perform and achieve amazing things. The older I've got and the more my body tells me to take it easy the more I marvel at the speed, strength, flexibility and gumption of this wide array of people.
Love seeing some sports I only see once every four years.
I think the BBC coverage is brilliant, they have a couple of dedicated channels following the live action. Plus they always have well informed commentators and past participants explaining the who and why. Because the BBC also cover the commonwealth games and the diamond league lots of the athletes are known to me so it's great to see their journey.

Used to watch mostly because we often had some sort of school project/focus around it when I was a kid. As a grownup, I despise everything around organized sports - it's a huge detriment to time, money, local economy and the environment.

This fun fact made me think of this thread, while we're waiting to watch our athletes, they're doing their own thing:
