Very interesting. The stars they show are flat, however I learned to make German Christmas stars.. we did not call them German when I was a kid just after WWII.. ours were/are also folded paper paper but the center points stick up and are on both sides.

That's a fun find! Some how I find comfort knowing that paper crafting is in our very make-up, passed down thru a great many generations.

I volunteer at our local hospice thrift store to help them price antique and vintage items. Occasionally I get an old scrapbook and I can't begin to describe how engrossed I get in perusing it. The longevity of some of them makes me begin to regret a bit that I no longer paper scrapbook.
(I do travel journals with sketches and memorabilia included if anyone remembers a recent thread. But I no longer do the traditional paper scrapbooking.)
