Numerous European countries have had female leaders over the years. They did their jobs well, so those countries and others have no issues dealing with our female prospective leader!! It's just TFG and crew with issues. They want us to stay in the place they choose for us!! But voting for women turns men into women! Honestly I find the fact that we've never had a female president so embarrassing.

Definitely. The first time he ran for office, I said something like «OMG! I can’t believe you guys are electing Hitler for president», and several Peas were VERY upset with the comparison, but I haven’t seen anything that will change my mind. You you cannot blame the state of the current USA in one single president or party or legislature or set f justices. The current state of affairs is a culmination of presidents that probably go back to the Nixon era or maybe even the Kennedy years. Corruption is coming forth more and more as media and social media have advanced. Truthful it is very bad to really find good candidates period. I don’t want to vote for the republican because-Trump and I am a registered republican! I don’t want to vote Harris because I don’t think she really has the experience in running a government at any level or will have the respect of any foreign government officials because she not shown any strength or presence in the current administration. She is riding on Bidens withdrawal, being a woman a one of color. I want to see how she stands up to Trump in a debate because that will show how much is strength and ability to handle herself against the assholes of the world and how much is just the what I said in the previous sentence. She is going to have to show me something to win a vote from me. At least I can be more open minded than some. I will spend a bit less time on the VP choices because they truthfully are background noise during an administration. So Harris has to prove herself to me as a voter Trump -nah is their a real candidate out there and if you are basing everything about Trump on letting babies die, you really need to read Fred the turds book. That man is bitter about his grandfather’s choice. And his sister’s lack of support. and refuses to admit his own shortcomings as a father, wage-earner/employee, etc. My opinion on Trump is based on everything he has said and done since his first campaign started. He is a vile wannabe-dictator who makes the world a more dangerous place. And as someone who lives in a country where we have had several female prime ministers and cabinet members (and the same goes for other civilised countries as well) we will have no issue working with a female president.

katiekaty , what happened to your post saying that countries with government funded healthcare which doesn’t always arrange prompt treatment are even worse than US politicians thinking it’s okay to neglect disabled people? (I thought that sounded gentler than saying they should be left to die.) You sounded extremely passionate about your dysfunctional healthcare being far preferable to ours, so why would you delete your post? You’re right in saying that the NHS is far from perfect - 14 years of a government that maliciously and deliberately decimated funding (for capitalist reasons) will do that to any body. But you really think it’s better to have a healthcare system where non-medical companies get to decide whether you need or deserve treatment, where medical bankruptcy is even a thing, and where you can still end up waiting for treatment depending on where you are? And where even with expensive insurance premiums, you still have to pay the first $ x for said treatment? Go on, repost the nasty things you said.

I saw this story on People: Tim Walz and His Wife, Gwen, Open Up About Son's Non-Verbal Learning Disorder: 'His Secret Power' (Exclusive) - Tim and Gwen tell PEOPLE that their 17-year-old son, Gus, is "brilliant, hyper-aware of details that many of us pass by, and above all else, he’s an excellent son" people.com/gus-walz-learning-disorder-secret-power-exclusive-8691793I've seen posts featuring Walz's daughter Hope, who I believed they needed IVF to conceive, and then this article about their son. The more I read aboit this family, the more I love them.
