Once upon a time, long long ago, before there was a food network, there was a channel called Life. And on that channel, was a little show called “The Inn Chef” featuring former US chef now a proud PEI resident, Chef Michael Smith. I have been a fan since that show.
Now he owns the Inn at Bay Fortune, and it has long been a dream to stay at his inn and eat in his in house restaurant.
Next week, in the little town I live in, we are celebrating Canada’s Food Day with the second annual Longest BBQ. It sounded fun, but not something I planned to attend. UNTIL I saw that Michael Smith will be there, shucking oysters, doing photos and autographs. I managed to fine pd a barely used copy of his Inn Chef book on Amazon, and will be getting it signed.
It isn’t staying at his Inn, but it IS getting to meet him!!
