We have arranged and paid for our cremations and the burial plot in which to place us.
We figure DS and DD can organise the type of funeral we have when the time comes. we have a folder that has the legal papers in and most of the passwords are in a note book already.
this folder was given to us by the Cemetery so obviously it has more than enough information for what needs to be cancelled and paid up.

We're finishing a trust, because we just had a will. I want things to be ironclad. My sister and I had a nightmare legal battle w/both a step grand monster and a step monster. So, my trust is all about protecting my kids in case dh were to ever remarry after my death. A big issue here is that dh has made the whole house very tech savvy. If he were to run off or drop dead, G-d forbid I would not be able to turn off the lights. I have tried to talk to him about that. We're older and the house is getting more complicated to run w/everything attached to his computer. It's convenient as heck, but I don't have an engineer phone-a-friend when something goes wrong.
We bought our plots near my parent's plots and my sil followed suit. As I said to my sister, "Oh no. I'm moving back in w/mom and dad forever". Though I'm hoping that they'll use my body for research for my main disease.
I have medical POA for my bff. When he sent me my copy he included a note that said, "don't get any bright ideas".

I have made strides in the past three years to try to get it all in order.
I prepaid my cremation.
I have a "death file" in my important papers binder. Includes all papers relating to cremation, has photos of me (for a memorial board? IDK), a page of passwords and account info, but I need to review just to make sure it's up to date.
It's such a hard thing to think about.

Funny you should post this, I just bought a "journal" from Amazon called F*ck! I'm Dead! Now What? It is an End Of Life Planner& Journal Just came today....so I will make use of it! My DD bought that for her 2 bachelor uncles. She's in charge of their estates. One has his affairs in order, one will be a shit show.

Semi related
I have a sealed letter directing a friend to notify 2peas. But I don’t want my kids to know as I really am too lazy to go way back and erase some posts that they’d be better if not knowing about. But I think the peas deserve to not wonder if I disappear not that I think I’m popular or anything but that peas wonder about obscure peas all the time and someone would prob ask.
Anyway, is there a more private way to get that notification done? lol any thoughts?
I’m recently getting my will started to be redone and the thought had crossed my mind .

I think this is a great solution. I was going to leave directions in with my will on things that I would like to happen, for example with my ashes. I don’t expect him to want them in a container in his home. And I was going to tell him to come here just to let people know why I disappeared. Like you say, not that I think I am popular in any way or that anyone will care, but just to be thorough about things. I like your idea better. I can see my son just not bothering, or losing the address or something.
