cadoodlebug....have you placed an order yet and received it? I am wondering, I have a FreePrints app on my phone, with an account.....I need to see if I can use the same account to do pictures. Thanks for your response! I just placed an order last night! Several things caught me by surprise. First, I could only order 50 prints in one batch. Shipping was $7.50 including tax. So if I order the addition prints to make it 85 free prints for the month, the total will be a bit more than 14¢ each. I'm waiting to see the quality of the first batch before going forward. If I really like them, I'll order more. Otherwise I'm going to try Walmart. I'll report back when I get the prints!

It I really like them, I'll order more. Otherwise I'm going to try Walmart. I'll report back when I get the prints! It only let me upload 26 prints! But when I tried to upload more, it told me I could only upload 50 at a time. Go figure. So that worked out to 19 cents per print with the $4.87 for shipping the 26 prints. And that's one cent less than Shutterfly charges normally. I tend to like to wait for free shipping on Shutterfly, but sometimes they require a larger number of prints than I even have ready to go, and I wind up waiting for a different deal. So, if these prints look good to me, I'll be happy with the 19 cent per print final price. That gave me all of my Jan. through March 2023 photos, and that seems worth five bucks to me.

I'm a die hard Persnickety printer but I couldn't pass up on trying Freeprints. It allowed me to upload 50 so we'll see how these look!

2nd update: I received my first batch of 50 prints today. I was pleased with the color and processing so I just ordered the 2nd batch of 35 which give me my free 85 prints for August. The shipping for the second batch was $4.99 so the prints come out to about 14¢ each.

I received mine, and wasn't thrilled with them. I'll use this batch, but I won't order from them again. They were printed on slightly thinner photo paper than those I get from Shutterfly and the matte quality was different than I expected. Typically my matte photos look like the paper itself has the matte quality to it, where as these looked more like a finish was applied on top of the printed photos if that makes sense. To me it looked like someone took a brayer and rolled mod podge over the top of each print. And whether it was because they were thinner, or because of a combo of the thickness and the finish, the photos kept sticking together as I tried to look through them. Not a real issue in itself, just a "symptom" of the differences, so to speak. Since I already consider Shutterfly to be just "okay", I really don't want to go with something I feel is lower in quality yet, which is too bad, because I definitely liked the price.

I just did a blind test by mixing up a photo from another place and the ones I got from Freeprints and couldn't tell the difference. I also got glossy so I can't comment on the matte. I'm sorry it didn't work for you.

missmcd , have you gotten your prints yet? Still nothing, no email about shipping either. Feeling like this is the one and only order I'll be placing with them.
