2nd update: I received my first batch of 50 prints today. I was pleased with the color and processing so I just ordered the 2nd batch of 35 which give me my free 85 prints for August. The shipping for the second batch was $4.99 so the prints come out to about 14¢ each. Update: I found a way to use FreePrints from my computer! Go to photoaffections.com on your computer or tablet Click the FreePrints tab at the top of the page Upload the photos you want to print Select the quantity and size. Thanks to all who mentioned FreePrints. My crop isn't until October so I can get 255 prints by then! Original Post: Thought I might get more responses here. I haven't really had to get any printed since Costco shut down their in-store and online photo department. Now I need quite a few printed to go to a crop in October and thought I better start the research. I will have hundreds so cost is a factor. But also quality. TIA for your ideas!

not the cheapest, but I use Persnickity Prints. I have used them in the past but, dang, they are really expensive. My albums are really just for DH and me to enjoy. No one to inherit other than DS. So they don't have to last forever, KWIM? But I appreciate the response!

I've been a longtime Shutterfly customer. They often have 50% off deals.

Shutterfly and Walmart, if you were a previous Costco member you should've received the info to merge your photos and then would also have the 51% discount all the time. Otherwise, they have coupons all the time. Walmart, if you already pay for the W+ subscription, you get free shipping.
Quality wise - they're about the same and I find they both print a little darker than my photos. I've gotten to where I print my weekly PL photos from W+ and safe Persnickety for my DD or vacation albums because they offer all the sizes I usually need. Mpix is fairly local to me, but they don't have all the print sizes I want or I might even swap to them.

I really like MPix quality and have always had good customer service with them. For large batches of printing, I use Amazon photos. 4x6's are 17 cents, and I like that you can choose glossy or matte prints.

My favorite are Mpix, and I use them for any print I want to frame.
I'm currently using Shutterfly for most day to day photos, and they're fine, but I'm not thrilled with them.

If I have a big batch to print, I'll send them to Blacks.ca (Canadian) just because photos are expensive enough without having to pay for an exchange rate. Otherwise I print at home.

Shutterfly since Costco stopped doing photos. My last order I used Mpix because I was tired of waiting for a Shutterfly code that would work with my Costco discount. I ended up paying $40 for my prints (prints cost more but shipping was cheaper), and two days later Shutterfly had a code, and it would have been $19... I liked the Mpix quality but Shutterfly cost less if you can be patient...
I did not like Amazon, although it was fast. They took all my pictures and added them somewhere so they show up as the screensaver on my TV, and I don't like that or finding how to go in and get them off of there.

I like using the FreePrints app. You get 85 free prints per month, just have to pay shipping. You can order more at a cheap price at the same time. And I love that I can choose matte finish. Also they print the date of the photos on the back, very helpful if you are behind on scrapping like I am. Excellent quality too!!

I do 4 x 6's wherever there is a good sale. I order about 1 or 2 times a year. If I am enlarging something beyond 10 x 12, I order through WhiteWall. Love their stuff. Just ordered 14 prints for the house.

I use Snapfish - I get 100 free prints every month for using their app. On holiday or vacation months, that saves me a lot!

Shutterfly for me as well. I use the app to order & get the free unlimited 4x4 or 4x6 prints (just pay for shipping). I always choose matte printing.

I print my own pictures. I use an Epson 2760 (eco tank) and a PM-400. As confessed in the "how many photos" thread, I only printed 30 photos for July. That includes some screenshots. I don't take a lot of photos. Most of my photo stash is printed photos from my pre digital life. That is boxes and boxes and boxes of photos.

I had been using MPix because I could have the filename printed on the back. I name my pics by date & who, what, or where, so having the filename on the back was awesome. Something has changed. My last order came without the filenames on the back. I did not see any way to request it when I was placing my order. Love their quality, but without the filename (or date) on the back, it just isn't going to work for me. Thank you for this.

Correct, as far as I know it's just a smartphone app. I have an iPhone. I use Apple Photos, so all my photos are available on all my devices.

I just Googled the question and it looks like you can. I just have to figure out how to do it. My problem is I have photos on my computer that were shared to me by DH and friends who were on our travels with us so those aren't on my phone.

Could you maybe use Google photos to get all your photos in 1 spot? You can tell the app to pull pictures from Google Photos. Dropbox could be used in similar fashion.

Local camera shop that processes mostly on site (Note my order is typically all 4x6 borderless prints in a matte finish).

I generally use Mpix but a couple of years ago I broke down and paid the big bucks for a quality home printer. It's amazing to be able to print things that look every bit as good as a lab right here at home when I need to. I love that I can easily tweak sizing and put multiple photos on a page. And since it's an Eco Tank printer I still have half my original ink 2 years later and I am not shy about printing.

My Canon prints amazing pictures so when I need larger than 4x6, I print them at home. But when I'm printing between 200-300 pictures that's just too much work.
