Search is crappy - so this is likely a repeat post.
Bit of an LOL - I've wanted one and was avoiding anything about them, I don't need another kitchen appliance. But a cake friend accidentally sent me a copy of her Creami story on Instagram, apologized and that began the discussion of why I need one LOL
And when you have a $189 Costco rebate cheque, and the Creami is $199? You are basically getting it free, right?
I love that I can do sugar free, fruit only things. But what else???

I have one that we honestly haven’t used much mostly due to logistics, we keep it at our lake cabin where we almost never have heavy cream or even half & half. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m not a fan of the recipes that come with it but found tons more that I think I would like better online. There’s a Ninja Creami Facebook group Ninja Creami Community that has loads of recipes that would suit any requirement. Lots of people post low sugar or protein shake ice cream recipes, but there are plenty of full fat ones too. If you get the machine, look into getting some extra freezer containers. Ours came with three and it’s not nearly enough especially if you don’t eat the whole thing quickly. You sometimes need to respin the ice cream you’ve already made and you can only do it in those containers, so if you move it into a different container you may need to move it back.
I’m not gonna lie though, I’m really REALLY wanting to get one of the new Ninja Slushi machines, but at a whopping $299 retail U.S., I don’t see that happening anytime soon. 😫 I would use the hell out of one of those. I love me a blue raspberry Icee and if I had one of those machines I’d be having Icees every day from about April through October.

While this machine is no comparison to the Yonanas, I think it will be facinating at first, but peter out like our Yonanas did. The ice cream it made was yummy, but it became a hassle to make it seemed and we used it less and less and I think it went to the donation box. Food Network did a review of the machine, both regular and deluxe models. Maybe after reading it, it will hlep you decide. Food Network Review

Food Network ReviewWe have a Cuisinart ice cream maker at home that we use all the time. We have the freezer space to keep the bowl in deep freezer when we’re not using it so it’s just a matter of buying the ingredients we might not have on hand when I’m doing my regular grocery shopping so we tend to use it more. The Creami requires a little more preparation in advance in that the ice cream (or whatever) needs to be frozen overnight in the containers before you can spin it. I bought extra containers last summer and need to be more proactive about mixing up the stuff and freezing it at home in advance, then just bringing the frozen containers of stuff to the lake cabin where the Creami lives to spin it.

I LOVE mine! I received it in June for my birthday and we have made tons of ice cream. I use the vanilla base recipe that it came with (however I do 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp vanilla paste) and it is so yummy. Our absolute fav is the strawberry recipe it comes with - delish! We are going to start experimenting with lower calorie receipes though as the full fat versions are not good for our waist lines

I love ours! I make ice cream all the time. I love that it's easy to use and our kids can make their own ice cream without extra help from us. I have Oreos in the house right now and I'm going to whip up a batch of vanilla Oreo ice cream tonight.
I make protein ice cream for my husband, strawberry ice cream using fresh strawberries, M&M ice cream, Oreo ice cream, chocolate chip ice cream... the possibilities are endless.

I is mine to get extra protein into my diet and my daughters. My daughters have some medical issues that frequently make them nauseous but they do better with more protein in their diets. My oldest especially has a hard time with a lot of protein powders and drinks. We have found specific drinks she can tolerate if we freeze them and make them into ice cream or smoothie bowl bases. We take a fair life protein shake and then add a couple tablespoons sugar free pudding mix, some vanilla and if you want added sweetener. Freeze and use as a smoothie bowl base or just eat as ice cream.

I've been thinking about one and watching the price on Amazon. I think it's the 11 in 1. I don't need another gadget and I'm not sure how much I'll really use it. I'd love to duplicate the acai in the tropical bowls that we love, however, it may not be that easy so it's a gamble.
How does adding protein powder to make ice cream change the texture? None of us need to be eating that much ice cream.
