Good morning.
Today will be a very nice day. I have a video appt in the morning and then I'm off to the most blissful place in my universe, the acupuncture table. I cannot wait. That will knock this sleepiness out of my system.
Tonight I might make dh a keto recipe that he found. It's a keto sage butter brown chicken. I'll make a veggie to go w/it and dh will have a meal.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to today?
Wishing everyone a happy, easy day ahead.

cadoodlebug , gratitude truly can lead to happiness. I taught my kids the phrase gratitude attitude when they were little and reinforced it over the years.
Enjoy the pool.

Good evening, Another day of organising here. I now have all my knitting projects set out and I have phoned my GP to request repeats on all my medications, so I will have enough to take me well past my surgery and recovery. I wandered down to the store early, when almost no one was there, as we still need to eat for the next few days.
Dinner tonight is home make Turkish kofta. I have the meat mixture prepared and will shape them when it’s time to cook. There is pocket breads and some salads as well.

sueg , you're well prepared for your surgery and recovery. I hope that you're able to relax and enjoy your hobbies at home over the next few days. How is your husband doing w/the upcoming surgery?

They moved him to the regular floor last night. So now the focus turns to improving his strength and hopefully getting him moved to a rehab facility soon. DD and I are doing well. Now that he is on a regular floor she has more options for times to visit after work. That frees me up to leave a bit earlier on those days. Again, thank you all for your concerns and prayers!

Happy Wednesday!
I got back from my epic wine adventure last night with my sisters and BFF. We had so much fun and it was so relaxing. I got to see some family and friends too from my hometown so it was a win all around.
Today, I'll be doing laundry, picking up my groceries and my dog at the sitters. I've got a slow day at work as I got pretty much everything done before I left for my trip so I would have an easy day.
Tonight will probably be taco salad or salmon. I'll see what I feel like as the day goes on.
Hope everyone has a good day!

**GypsyGirl** , this is good news. Now that your dh is in the recovery phase of his illness I hope that you and your dd will be able to rest and take time to recharge and heal both your energy and hearts.
Tearisci, I'm so glad to hear that you had a good wine vacation w/your family. Woohoo!

DH is doing fine. His boss has been super supportive and told him just to take whatever time off he needs, whether it’s carer’s leave or WFH. He will take me in on next Wednesday and will decide what he does once we’re there and know what the plan for the day is. Thursday will be the same, depending on what we learn in advance of my expected surgery time. He’s also planned not to travel for a full month afterwards, so he can be home each night.

You have no idea how badly I'd love to be going to acupuncture right now. They moved him to the regular floor last night. Yay!! I am off tomorrow and Friday and we will be heading down to Ohio to the camp out family reunion with Jeremy's family. Apparently both our workplaces are going to make us earn our vacation today. It's been busy. Too busy. And I won't even tell you that it's almost noon and there's been no sign of my coworker today or that I've been doing her work. Tonight for dinner? I have no idea.

**GypsyGirl** - so glad to hear your husband's been moved and is gaining strength! I'm on my own for dinner as everyone has plans so I'll throw something together - or eat gelato! Take care all!

DH is having a Papa Day with grandboy #1. They set off this morning for the city and I’m sure they will hit a few stores and then go for lunch. I had a short visit with my mom and now I’m just puttering around the house.
I went for my walk early this morning before it got too hot. I’m about done with all this humidity. It’s no fun being stuck in the house because you can’t breathe outside!
Supper will be grilled pork chops.

**GypsyGirl** that is great news! Tearisci that sounds like a fun evening. The DGS's spent the night last night. It was not planned until we were at dinner so we cut that short so they could come over. DD picked them up this morning to take them and DGD's to the local waterpark. We have had pop up storms so I don't know if she if bringing them back or what they are currently doing. Since the boys were up and at it bright and early this am, I have gotten a lot accomplished. I have been needing to organize my closet and I got that done. I am now in the middle of tackling the pantry. No clue what is for dinner. Maybe meatloaf since cadoodlebug mentioned it.

Enjoy your acupuncture, scrapmaven. So happy to hear your DH's recovery is heading in the right direction, **GypsyGirl**. My DH is heading to China Lake for a few days on a consulting job. It is a Naval Weapons Air Station in the middle of the Mohave Desert, about half way between Los Angeles and Death Valley, and I'm pretty sure there is no actual lake anywhere near it. With him gone my motivation to make dinner drops significantly, so I was happy to find burgers he made in the freezer. They will keep the young adults in the house happy and I can nibble on one or whatever else in the fridge that catches my eye. Smoked gouda, Havarti and grapes along with apricots, figs and peaches are contenders right now. I have a Zoom late this afternoon with my 3 oldest friends (50+ years). We started a biweekly get together during Covid and never stopped.

Enjoy the acupuncture scrapmaven!!! Good News GypsyGirl and ntsf!!!
I had my eye injection this morning, so that is done for 6 weeks She was very pleased as it is improved!!! Decided I needed my nails done as a reward...they are looking good... We have had torrential rains and now the sun is back...didn't do much for the humidity, unfortunately 😕
Dinner here will be grilled chicken thighs that DH has seasoned with his Jamaican Jerk rub, along with grilled corn and a salad

Happy Mid week dinner friends! I've been scrambling to get caught up and keep my head in the game both work wise and home stuff. DH is still at the ranch, so I'm trying to maximize the opportunity.
Dinner is going to be something with some ground beef that I thawed, I'm leaning toward taco meat for nacho's and salad or a tomato pasta casserole.
Back to the grind, I hope everyone has an awesome day!!

No clue what’s for dinner but at least I’ve finally cleared out most of what was in the fridge. jeremysgirl, my mashed potatoes last night were delightful. There’s still plenty of things to use up in the freezer, so maybe I’ll start on that. So glad to hear Mr. **GypsyGirl** is back in general pop. That’s progress!

**GypsyGirl** that's great news that your husband has been moved. jeremysgirl have fun camping ! I've had a busy but enjoyable morning. Exterminator came early then 10 of us got together for breakfast. It was great spending time with my 2 sisters, mom and my brother and his family. After that I stopped at HEB to pick up a couple of things. For dinner hubby wants hot dogs with potato salad and baked beans.

I am a very relaxed pea. I showed up to my appt 1/2 hour early, because I put the wrong time down in my calendar. Luckily, the person before me no-showed. So, I got a 40 minute arm massage for my bad shoulder. Then she did extra needles. Again, it doesn't hurt at all. It feels great. The only downside is that my sleep will be filled w/wild dreams. That happens to both dh and I everytime we go to acu. I don't care. I feel relaxed and my shoulder is less sore.
