Looking forward to seeing what you make  I worked on a partial sheetload to finish off my Christmas papers today. They’re not very exciting because I had already run out of die cuts but I’ll post them tomorrow. |

I did vellum matting too I didn't make a full Sheetload, just used the last of the collection I was working on. No more die cut images so I added a little banner on two of them like Kristie Marcotte often does.  Aug share by jo.blackford, on Flickr |

I watched more of the design team videos than I normally do this month, including the Aussie crafter who uses scraps and leftovers for SLoCs. I thought of you. Is she one of your inspirations?
I love the woodgrain with the Christmas papers and the banners seem like a great way to add some oomph when the background is the plainer paper and there's no die cut!

I just watched Mint Twist Cards’ video this afternoon. I do some things like she does, and I do have the same “good enough is good enough” kind of attitude like she does for donation cards, but sometimes her cards are a bit too simple or random for me. The card maker in my head the most is Kristie Marcotte. Both use Paper Rose products a lot I originally had the busy papers in the back and the woodgrain in front for most of the cards but I switched them (turned them over) when I realized I didn’t have focal images. I think that was the right move - the red woodgrain I couldn’t do that with (two clashing busy prints) and it did seem much too plain until I added the little banner. |
