I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I am scanning old photos using Photoscan but came across the negatives from our wedding. Has anyone used a service where you send the negatives and get them back digitally?

There was a recent thread here about using Photomyne to do it yourself. I bought a Lightbox on Prime Day, and I already had Photomyne, but I haven't tried it yet.
I'm going to try it this weekend. If I'm not happy with the results, I am going to look around for a professional service. There used to be one just near my office, but they moved before I had a chance to use them.
I'm looking forward to seeing other replies.

I did that at Target once. I'm not sure that they still have photo services though. It was easy - I gave them the negatives and they gave me a CD (good times!) with all of the photos as well as a little 'strip' of the mini pictures showing what they scanned.
At the time, I felt more comfortable giving them to someone close as opposed to sending them in the mail.

We've done both b/w and colored negatives from the 1960's. After working with about 200 negatives he found "voice activated" feature and you just say go- no pushing buttons!.

Try Photomyne and see if you like the results. I’m the one who recommended it on the other thread and I was honestly amazed at the quality of what I was scanning. If you aren’t happy with the quality, try a local camera shop. Ours does their services in-house, so the negatives aren’t mailed off somewhere.

I'm so glad to hear this! I had tried using Photoshop to turn the negative into a positive, but the results weren't great. TFS
