Does anyone here have a small pantry that they’d be willing to post pictures of I’m trying to re-organize mine and it’s not very big. Are you looking for just dry good storage or small appliances, too? Technically I don't have a pantry, but all dry goods go in either one of 2 cupboards in the kitchen or shelves in the garage. I heavily use plastic bins in the kitchen to corral like things together. All dry pasta/soba noodles in one, rice/quinoa/farro/couscous in another and spices split between two that are stacked together live in an upper cupboard (along with oils, vinegars, etc.). The other kitchen pantry space is a lower shallow cupboard where all the snacky things like chips or cookies are on one side and smaller things again in bins on the other (nuts, seeds, dried fruit, energy bar). The garage houses all canned goods, jars and tetra packs along with extra pasta/rice/condiments, etc. ETA These photos from The Container Store give you an idea of what mine looks like. If you look at the customer reviews people post lots of photos that might be helpful. Sorry to read you considered stepping away leannec . Honestly, I think most of us have that feeling at one point or another. However, after 20 years here I've come to realize there are really no "popular" peas, just ones who are more vocal. The ones we view as 'popular' tend to post a whole lot as well as post all across the board, not just on a few threads here or there. In the past I've had the left out feelings but over time I realized that I am more of a wall flower and prefer to just read and focus on the threads that have meaning to me. The board is what you make of it! Hope you are feeling more up soon! I'm going to just ditto the above. I'm sorry you are feeling ignored right now leannec , but know you are a vital part of this group. My dilemma is I don’t have new furniture yet. I’m contemplating if I find something that can’t be delivered until after they come, which is most likely what will happen, I may have them leave the couch. I hate looking for furniture. It’s so overpriced. Given the last couch I replaced took well over a month to get here, maybe even two, I would hang onto at least yours until replacements are on the way. My complaint about furniture is paying only a few hundred dollars less than a couch to get a comfortable chair. It's less than half the size, maybe even a third, and the price is at least 80% of the bigger piece. I tried to bring food for myself but everyone else wants to eat it. I'm practically starving here. Ugh, can you keep more than what you might use hidden in your camper and just put out a small portion for anyone wanting to try it? I limit dairy and brought a coconut whipping cream to a family gathering last year, along with regular whipping cream for everyone else. The coconut cream was finished long before I made it to the dessert table because everyone decided try it and took both. It ran out pretty quickly so at least half the crowd was disappointed they never got to taste it because everyone who did was raving about it. I held off WWIII at our house by stopping at Trader Joe's after my beach walk. DH finished off the artichoke jalapeno dip I'd picked up for DD two days ago because "no one was eating it". I guess he thought it was the same tub that was in the fridge last week or the week before. DH is grilling sausages so I will get him to grill more of the same vegetables as yesterday (onions, asparagus, peppers and zucchini).

I tried to bring food for myself but everyone else wants to eat it. I'm practically starving here. When I go to my crops, I make a big bowl of my favorite salad but make sure to take my *helping* before setting it out. A lot of people just use it as a side but I use it as a *main* because so many of the things that are brought I can't eat because of the carbs. (I think I am the queen of run-on sentences.)

bc2ca. Just dry storage I don’t have a whole lot of small appliances other than a hand mixer and that’s in a cupboard. I’ll go check out the container store. They’re used to be one near us, but I think it closed.

paget happy birthday to your precious Hannah. I like when you share things about her, and I can also totally understand the hurt and grief that makes it difficult to do that sometimes. Just know that I am thinking about you, as I often do. DSO bought a new (to us) car on Friday. I said to him that we really have to cut back on our spending, and reduce the number of concerts we go to, and how often we eat out. Having said that, I have been out for dinner on Wednesday night, Friday night (as well as a concert), Saturday night, then I will be going out for lunch with mum for her birthday today (Sunday) and then with my Mother's Group friends on Thursday. So yeah.... our Thai dinner out last night with friends was great.

I love reading each and every single one of everyone's posts. I love our group! 💕
DH and I went to Spirit Halloween this morning (yes, already). He found a Universal Monsters blanket, so we got that early since there was a Twilight Zone one we missed out on last year.
We also went to JoAnn Fabrics, Michaels (got two storage bins for free with some vouchers, woo hoo!), and then to the mall. He wanted a new polo, so we checked a few different stores and wound up getting one at JC Penney. Went to lunch out, and then headed home.
We had steak and mashed sweet potatoes for dinner. 😋
Hope you all have a great day/weekend. Thinking of those experiencing sad memories but know we're all here for you! ❤️

leannec I'm sorry you felt less supported. I guess when I like a post that is a sign of I hear you I see you. I do pea on the phone most of the time and with my wrist issues it's hard for me to comment on each poster every time I post. I'm like others that forget everything I wanted to comment on. But I do enjoy your posts. I have sometimes felt that way, especially since I post later in the day but I will never forget the support I felt in my son's bicycle hit and run. Love to all the peas. And for the record if there was a list of popular peas I would have thought your name to be on that list. paget hugs to you! Chocolate is good! jeremysgirl you need to bring a container that is just for you in addition to sharing. karenlou I love when you post, so now newbie or not you are appreciated. I've been on the computer most of the afternoon (slept in this morning!) between financial stuff and trying to back up my phone before updating. I'm thinking I should just buy more iphone storage for icloud. Tonight we are having the chow fun from yesterday we hardly got to after all the dim sum. I may make some potstickers.

I know I've been awol from this thread for a while...I read almost every day even if I don't post. I just wanted to say I love every one of you, and care about you and your stories. My husband knows a lot about "the ladies from my message board" -- we think of you and your partners, children, jobs, dates, often...and sometimes your dinners...and send you good energy. I understand the feelings you describe, leannec. I just wanted to let you know I look forward to your posts...your pictures, your friends, your crazy students, your dates, and dinners with your mom, Denny's, your daughters, your cute condo...all of it. I'm always rooting for you. I admire your independence and attitude. Popular, not popular...whatever. I think more importantly, you are a VALUED pea. A cherished pea. OUR pea. I hope you can feel that. ♥️

I have been a member for years and years - initially on the original board and then found my way here.
I don't post often - our time zones don't really make sense of some conversations but I really enjoy reading and commenting on what I like.
This group is such a safe haven - Im sure each and every one of us has posted something that we needed to get off our chest. It is not necessarily for a fix but just to be able to vent. I know I have.
When someone leaves the board for what ever reason I feel sad and hope they will return because each of us give something to someone who just might need it.
Dinner tonight is meal at Sushi Train to celebrate our DGS's 15th birthday and then to theirs for cake and presents.
