I speak my mind as well but I guess I just try to do it at the correct time and I don't think criticizing my photos yesterday was the correct time. It is a tradition in my family to do a goofy, tongue out photo at almost any event ... that's just us! I'm sorry that you felt that way. The really neat thing about 2peas is that we can see the stuff of other peas FOO (Family of origin) and incorporating what everyone brings to the dinner table. I wasn't aware of your family tradition when taking photos. Drumheller is an amazing place that I need to visit again. So glad that you had a wonderful time with your friend. Life-long friends are a gift.

stormsts, I'm sorry that you're ill on your milestone anniversary. In order to not cook do you want to order contactless door dash and still enjoy a dinner for 2? Happy Anniversary. You'll go to your restaurant very soon. bc2ca, of course my mind already went there. I was going to ask what your doctor did to warrant f/u? So glad I was wrong. I'm going to think the most healing thoughts for you this week and I will think easy immunotherapy and cancer free thoughts for you. Gentle ((((HUGS)))). leannec, screeching Scrapmaven kids were taken to the car and driven straight home. Some parents just don't have common sense. You don't ruin the experience for everyone else, because your kid is having a tantrum. If something like that happens again feel free to bring out Mrs. C., the teacher. I do not believe in spanking or physical punishment of children, but it's fine to spank the parents. We had a wonderful toy store in my area. They had a huge Thomas the train section. One time we went there w/mil, who was visiting. She wanted to buy ods a train. Yds was an infant. Anyway, Ods picked out the train and then went to play w/the Thomas display w/dh while mil and I paid for the train. We went outside and I heard ods screaming. Mil turned to me and said, "Who is that kid who's screaming? Where are the parents? That kid's a monster". I was just cringing. Dh promptly removed ds from the store and mil was in shock that our kid did that. So much for my proclamation that my children would never have a tantrum in public.

stormsts My parents celebrate 40 years next year, which is hard to believe. Mom had been 23 for less than a month when they got married. It's always interesting having parents who are 10 1/2 years apart. 💕 My best friend and I have known each other since 2008, so 16 years. The other one, I have known for 12 years and we've been married almost 8. 🥰 Dinner tonight will be our usual Sunday dinner: salmon, rice, and a veggie (I say that like I know DH won't choose anything but corn). I'm trying a new to us recipe for dinner this week (da Vinci pasta), so hopefully it's good! 🤞🏼

bc2ca I'll be keeping you in my thoughts this week. sueg, I'll also be keeping you in my thoughts for a successful surgery. stormsts sorry you had to cancel your anniversary plans. We will hit 40 this November ~ we were 36/37 when we married so we were old and wise. Like I told my friends who were worried that our courtship was mostly long distance, at that age we knew exactly what we wanted, and didn't want, out of a life partner. leannec , thanks for posting the photos! The day we went in August 2005, it was almost empty so I guess we hit it just right. We didn't take as many pictures but here is one of a much younger DS and a curly-haired me.

leannec That sounds like a really cool museum. The National History Museum in DC has some fossils but the skeletons I believe are made with composite materials.

I’m on my phone, and it’s hard to quote and tag, but I will try. quiltz you claim to be ‘direct’ but let me tell you… there is a very fine line between being “direct” and just being a rude so-and-so. Your comment was totally unnecessary, regardless of the fact that you think you were doing Leanne a favour by giving it to her straight. That is all I have to say on the matter.

leannec cute pictures! How nice to have such long time friends. jeremysgirl Yes I too cried in that book. Your boss is incompetent. sueg sounds like you will have excellent care. And that kind of surgery has evolved so much in the last 20 years with all the technology. Prayers sent your way. bc2ca Prayers sent your well. stormsts I'm so sorry you are still sick and had to cancel! Congrats on your anniversary. scrapmaven they are kids, it happens. Once at the library I gave ds multiple advance departure warning, 10 min, 5, 3, 2, 1, lets go. And he started screaming as I carried him out of the library. A wonderful Mom passed me and said she has gone through that as well. I will never forget that. That was the only tantrum I remember in a public place, but it was unforgettable. cadoodlebug very cute Today I roasted my first batch of tomatoes and garlic to freeze for winter puttanescas. Tonight we will have panzanella salad with my garden tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. Yum!
