I love the idea of going out for breakfast. IHop has great commercials and it looks so good.
Then reality sets in....one has to dress before going there. I am vain enough that I won't go without makeup.
That creates a big time lapse between getting up and breakfast. For me it ducks the joy out. Consequently we just never do it. What about you?

We go out for breakfast food at least twice a week, but we don’t go till closer to 10-11. We just eat a light snack at home before we go.

I love the idea of brunch or going out to breakfast, but the reality is, the yummy kind of breakfast food is a carb-fest, which I try to avoid first thing in the morning. I do love a glass of bubbly though.

I go out for breakfast with friends regularly. Restaurant prices are climbing and there can be great breakfast deals.
I don't wear much make-up and do dress for the day when I get up.

I will eat breakfast any time of day, but yeah, the getting up and moving part sucks.
I wear only makeup to work or to go out, so I'd go without

We go out to breakfast maybe 1-2 times a month. Nothing fancy, we don't dress up or anything. I don't wear much makeup, especially on weekends, so that is not a factor. We go around 8-9, before the church and late-morning crowds arrive.

We don’t go out for breakfast very often, maybe once every 2-3 months, usually when we’re at our cabin. I can’t be bothered with makeup but I do run a brush through my hair and get dressed. Pretty much everybody else eating there and half the staff also look like they just rolled out of bed so I don’t feel totally out of place. When we’re at home, “going out for breakfast” = hitting up the McDonald’s drive thru so it really doesn’t matter what you look like there either.

We go out for breakfast on a Sunday sometimes and (other occasions sometimes) and I love it I never 'glam up' for the Sunday outing, just very casual, no make-up and as for timing - we'll have a cuppa at home first, maybe a cookie/biscuit and then eat properly when we get there which is usually a bit later than we'd eat at home. I've been to an ihop in Canada and it was pretty casual. Here we go to a local cafe and it's equally causal so no need to feel like you need to 'dress' for it I wouldn't say. It's a lovely part of a chilled weekend, a bit of a treat, no guilt for occasional 'full English' or whatever...just enjoy

I love going out for breakfast, except for the waiting. Most of the good local place don't do reservations. It is always between 30-60 minute wait. I don't mind it as much as my husband. He gets very annoyed about it. Probably because he is hangry.

I don't wear make-up, so as long as I'm clean and tidy, I'm fine with going out. BUT, I do agree about not wanting a large window of time between when I wake up and when I eat. I typically don't eat much if anything between dinner and bed, plus I have morning asthma & allergy medication that I prefer to take with food. So come morning, I'm hungry and I want to take my medication as soon as possible. So even on vacation, we tend to have some breakfast foods with us--fruit, tea, instant oatmeal--that we can eat in the room if there's no full kitchen, or we just cook if there is a full kitchen. Which is why I do have a fondness for places that offer breakfast until fairly late in the morning/all day. I get up at 5am, and eat by 5:30, so by 10:30 or 11 am, I could eat again, depending on the size of my breakfast. So sometimes, we'll eat a light breakfast at 5:30, then have "lunch" at 11, someplace that serves breakfast until 11:30 or so just so I can still order some fun breakfast items.

We would go out for breakfast all the time before we had kids and up until our kids started school. Then they got tired and didn’t want to wake up early. We hate waiting so if we’re not at the restaurant by 9 am, we don’t go. If we both happen to wake up early, then we’ll go. It’s never/rarely planned. I’ll half ass get ready to make the early time (wipie the pits, put on deodorant, slap on some quick makeup and throw on some jeans).

We go for brunch around 11:00ish when I don't have leftovers for us for lunch. We go to a great place in our Town Center. Several weeks ago we had an Irish server in his late 20's, early 30's who was just adorable. We chatted quite a bit as we had been to Ireland in 2022. I loved the way he would say he would give us a *wee* minute when we hadn't quite decided on what we wanted.

We never eat breakfast out. We usually go out to lunch after running errands on Saturdays, sometimes dinner. We don’t do brunch either because my husband is horrified at the prices they charge for scrambled eggs and toast. I tend to agree as I would much rather eat something that’s more elaborate than what I would make at home. I like the pancakes but I know I shouldn’t eat them as I need to watch my sugar.

Just went to breakfast with 15 yo dgs on Friday. Rarely go out for breakfast, but if we do it's to a locally owned diner. If we are on a road trip on major highways we look for chain restaurants like Denny's or IHOP.

I love going out for breakfast but am another one that doesn't dress up or put on make up unless it is a bigger event brunch where we might be joining people celebrating something, not a last minute decision.
FWIW, no one in my household is really a morning eater, so going for breakfast is often more of an early lunch.
My favorite breakfast place doesn't take reservations so we know that part of going there involves a 30-60 minute wait, but it is always worth it.

Going out for breakfast is a decadent treat I thoroughly enjoy when I get an opportunity. I usually don’t eat much when I wake up anyway, so my going out for breakfast is probably more of a going out for brunch!
I love the places that serve fresh fruit along with the waffles and bacon and other breakfast foods. And because it is decadent and special, I always have whipped cream!

I do not ever go out for breakfast unless I've been up all night. I'm not going to get out of bed at some ungodly hour and try to look presentable (even without makeup, I need to make sure my hair is decent and get dressed) just to eat.

We have a couple favorite local places. I don’t wear make up when going out for breakfast (I would for brunch). It’s usually legging and a tee or sweatshirt. We arrive before nine to avoid waits.
I don’t do carb heavy things like pancakes or French toast. I’m too picky. I love a good scramble and a side of bacon. We probably only go out for breakfast once every 2-3 months though. Dh and I are both such creatures of habit with our breakfast meals at home, we don’t normally think about eating out.

Growing up, we went to the same local family restaurant every Sunday after church. The blueberry pancakes were the absolute best.
We still go out for breakfast after church, but not consistently, and we bounce around town. Haven't found "the" place.
We never go out for breakfast separately from church unless we're on vacation. Would much rather stay home and lounge. Maybe when we retire. . .

I don’t go out for breakfast very often / because I don’t eat the high carby foods they often serve…I would just order a good omelette which I can make at home.
When I get up - I always put on makeup and my workout clothes - so getting ready isn’t a big deal. I would work out, then go get breakfast (brunch).

My husband loves to go out for breakfast. It depends where we go time wise one place we will only go early weekend mornings. Another place close to us doesn’t open until 10 for brunch sat/sun it’s close and has good scrambles or Irish breakfast tacos. Another place we go has the best chilaquiles and they have brunch daily I don’t think they open really early either. I’m not a morning person so that works for me.
We will also make breakfast for dinner every so often.

Sure I go out for breakfast on occasion. It takes me about 5 - 10 minutes to put my make up on. After I’ve had a quick shower, hair in pony. Crispy bacon please.

I'm the same way. I'd love to go out for breakfast but by the time I shower and get around that means I won't be having breakfast until 9 or 10. I'm hungry by 6 or 7 so I just eat at home.

We go out for breakfast about twice per week M-F.
We’re usually there by about 8:30 so it’s pretty quiet and we can linger with coffee afterwards.

I get up early and eat my oatmeal around 6:30 am. I’m good and ready for brunch by 11 am 😆. We do that a couple times a month. 👍🏻

We're not big breakfast people. However, we do all enjoy a good brunch. As for makeup; I'm a mascara and lip gloss girl. (Ugh now I want brunch...honey biscuits and spicy shrimp with cheesy grits YUM)

I love breakfast, but feel like you do often about getting dressed with makeup on to go out in the morning hours. There is a place that does a weekend breakfast buffet that I have wanted to try but it closes down at 10. I'm not a crack of dawn type person, so have never tried it. We find our I-Hops are expensive and not as good as other places such as Village Inn, Perkin's, or many of the local places we have here.

I love breakfast, but usually don't go until 11 or so. By then I am dressed and hair/make up is done. As a bonus I eat a large breakfast and then can have a small dinner and no lunch. I visited my son in Texas last week. We did a late breakfast, early lunch. We ate at Snooze and it was soooo good. A very full meal, and then another day we went to a biscuit place. Both places were filling, not too sweet, and yes, some carbs.

I'm not a get up and eat type person. Currently, I am taking medication that I have to take with food every 12 hours. I chose 7am/7pm bc it kind of works best with my schedule. I cannot tell you how much I hate eating almost as soon as I get out of bed.
Under normal circumstances, I very rarely go out for breakfast. Once in a while, DH and I will stop at the diner for breakfast if we're out doing errands. Other times, I'll go for brunch which would be around 12:30-1:00 at which point I've been up for a while.

My 77 year old mum and I go to Denny's for breakfast almost every Sunday morning! We get there between 8:30am and 9am and are always seated right away ... The staff all know us! I'm not crazy about most breakfast food so I usually have a veggie omelette or two poached eggs with a side of shredded hashbrowns ... My mum is a pancake/waffle/French toast with bacon girl! I rarely wear makeup to go to Denny's ... they are OK with that!
