Good morning.
This is a big week for some members of the tribe. So, I want to start the week by asking everyone to send thoughts, prayers and healing energy to 3 ladies who are in need of of all the love they can get.
lucyg, wishing you an easier chemo today. May this week be healing and restful for you.
sueg, I know that this week is a scary week, but you're going to get through this and your dh will take good, loving care of you. You will heal and before you know it you'll be hugging your little girls and listening to Sophia's grand stories.
bc2ca, may all of your appts and results this week be filled w/good news.
To each one of you know that you're important, loved and amongst friends.
This morning I have to go for an xray. Then it's back home for the day. My voice lesson has turned into a zoom lesson.
Dinner will be a/f panko pork, rice and salad. Dh is still noshing on the bruschetta I made on Saturday.
What's on your menu?
What are you up to today?
May this week bring calm, reassurance and only the best news for all!

Sending good thoughts and prayers lucyg, sueg and bc2ca. I’m headed to look for some new furniture for my great room. I have an appointment with my cousins company to shampoo the rugs, and once that’s done I am moving my scrapping area back down into my spare bedroom, which will no longer be a spare bedroom.

Thoughts and prayers going out to lucyg, sueg and bc2ca. I am feeling slightly better. I am going to put in a partial day at work. Monday's are always crazy and today is payday. My employees like to be paid on time... Thanks for the nice anniversary wishes. 40 years is a heck of a long time. DH told me last night he wished for another 40. I told him not me, I don't want to live to be 100! Today is supposed to hit 90 with the heat index close to 100. Glad I am going to be inside. Dinner is going to be sloppy joe's.

going to store today.. maybe salmon cakes, maybe chicken for dinner. my brother and his wife and their adult son are in town.. so we will plan to get together with them. I am also going to drop off comforter at the dry cleaners.. once a year I feel like it should be cleaned.. and will wash the cover and sheets too.
went to the free symphony last night.. they played what my dh called "bugs bunny music".. william tell overture, the flight of the valkyries, bolero.. such a high level of skill. this is part of a music festival here. I tried walking over there, which I haven't done before. it went better than I thought.. took the bus back home so I didn't have to walk up the hill.
hugs and best wishes to all those going through stuff this week!!

I send my most healing wishes and prayers to lucyg, sueg, and bc2ca. I am having bit of a rough day. I felt a manic episode coming on right before bed last night. So I decided I would take my rescue med. By 9:00 I was asleep and I didn't wake up until around 8:15 this morning. I feel almost like I have a hangover. My brain just isn't working at all today. I have a meeting this afternoon that may be cancelled because I did all the work last week. I'm not sure we even need the meeting now. I hope it's cancelled because I need to get my butt offline. I'm having zucchini and tomato pasta tonight. I have both coming out of my garden like mad right now.

Happy Monday! Spending the morning catching up on household stuff then another afternoon at the hospital with DH. Still getting in needlepoint time each afternoon and will be done with my Popeye's ornament before the week is up! My bright spot for the morning was that I got a message from the Quilt Festival that a class I was waitlisted on had an opening! Immediately signed up. It's a Yorkshire Button class by Catherine Redford. I hear she is a good instructor and I've never done any handmade buttons before so should be fun! Thinking of you lucyg, sueg and bc2ca and sending up prayers for each of you as you face your personal challenges. Not sure what dinner will be but I did manage to restock the fridge this weekend and prep all the veggies, etc. so I can eat a bit more healthy that I have been. Wishing everyone a good week ahead!

I'm off to the chiropractor. I'm hoping to change the time of future appointments because it is interfering with my AquaFit class! DH and I will go swimming tonight to make up for my missing this morning. There is no class but I can do all the things I remember from class ~without the music of course! Good thoughts and big hugs to lucyg , bc2ca and sueg ! Dinner will be what I decide when I hit Raley's after my chiro appointment.

Sending good thoughts and prayers lucyg, sueg and bc2ca. I'm dragging this morning so I laid down for a few minutes and ended up falling asleep! Luckily it's not busy at work but my sister woke me up by calling about our mom. Her O2 rate has been really low and she's confused so my sister is taking her in to see the dr. She wears O2 at night but refuses to wear it during the day. I hope the doctor is going to tell her she has no choice and needs to be on it 24/7. My mom is very vain and resistant to it so please send good thoughts that it will now be the drs orders. Tonight, I'm having steak and mac and cheese.

lucyg, sueg and bc2ca: Thinking of you this week as you face medical challenges. The humidity has broken slightly but still too hot to do much outside. The daycare is closed this week so I’ve offered to watch grandboy #3 tomorrow. The other two will be attending soccer camp. On Thursday we head up north with my brother and SIL. The boys are excited to ride the ATV trails. I’m going to sit by the water with my Pepsi Zero Lime and my book. My mom is coming over for supper tonight. We are having grilled chicken burgers, corn on the cob, beans and salad.

Good evening all and thank you for all the good wishes. I have stayed home all day and done a few things that I needed to get done - final check on meds and documents, laundry etc. All I need to do now is actually pack, once my laundry is dry. DS1 called this morning (their evening) so that Sophia could wish me luck. I think she’s a bit concerned, which I understand with her other grandma dying so recently. Lucia wasn’t having any of it today - she said hello, then off to the kitchen where mum was.
Dinner tonight is simple - baked potatoes with ratatouille. I made the ratatouille early, so the flavours can develop. I used some of our homegrown tomatoes and basil as well.

I haven’t had good internet here so I missed a few things. Thinking and praying for sueg, lucyg and bc2ca I’m here for 2 more days. It’s been nice but very hot and not a lot of air conditioning. Dinner will be some type of seafood out.

Happy Monday Dinner friends! Sending best wishes to sueg, lucyg and bc2ca I hope each of you can feel the love we are all sending your way. leannec please don't leave and please don't stop posting your pics. I frequently fly by posts and forget to like, I need to be better about that, but each and every post makes me smile as if I've received a note from each of you. This is an awesome group of ladies. I had a nice weekend filled with some sewing time and a couple of naps, I went to a movie with my son, DIL and Her mom. We saw Twister, it was good, but not great! DH is coming home from the ranch today, it's been a full week, and while I enjoy the time to myself and get a lot accomplished both weork and house-wise, I'm ready for him and the puppy to come home. I'm also picking my grandson up in a little while and will have him until tomorrow afternoon, He will keep the puppy busy, or will it be the other way around?? :-) We are going to go to the local city park this evening to take a walk and see if we can gather some abandoned tennis balls for he puppy, we've depleted our supply and there are always several just laying around there. I put a large package of chicken breasts in the crock pot yesterday and refroze them cooked so they are ready for recipes, I kept enough out for dinner this evening, I'll give GS the choice of chicken pot pie or Chicken taco stew. Wishing everyone a great day!!

I frequently fly by posts and forget to like, I need to be better about that, but each and every post makes me smile as if I've received a note from each of you. This is an awesome group of ladies. I'm too addicted to this place to leave. I was just in a funk and felt the need to voice my funkiness ... it's water over the bridge now! The dinner thread is like my second family ... I love it here. I'll be posting photos again this weekend of the "Staycation" my daughters and I will be enjoying! Can't wait! No big plans today ... I already went for groceries and my cleaning lady will be here within the hour ... I'm going to throw her some extra cash because I had people here for five days so my second bathroom is probably going to take longer to clean ... My mum is coming over for dinner again tonight because what they are serving at her place doesn not appeal to her at all ... We will be having panko breaded, pan fried pork cutlets with applesauce, baby red potato cubes tossed in butter and fresh dill and some fresh green beans quickly cooked in butter and garlic ... should be tasty! Super positive thoughts going out to sueg, lucyg and bc2ca!!!

I just got the news that a friend from my old town passed away. She has been in memory care for a number of years and was about 10 years younger than I am. She was one of the kindest, funniest people I have ever known and my heart aches for her family.

Good Afternoon....Yesterday afternoon we had torrential rains, again...It was a chilly 73 degrees when I left for work at 1030 last night!!! The reprieve was so appreciated as the humidity was so thick yesterday, I feel bad for those with respiratory issues. Not a bad night for me, the organ bank had been in for a procurement earlier in the evening. Very sad a young diabetic man who was in renal failure and had passed after his dialysis. That being said his liver will save others😢
I did the marketing on my way home from work...so that is done. For dinner DH will grill the sausage, and I will sauté the peppers and onions and will check with DH to see whether he wants a salad or cole slaw.
The savory zucchini bread was not bad...DH loved it, so I will have KelleeM post the recipe for me for those that asked.
Love hugs and prayers for lucyg, sueg and bc2ga cadoodlebug so sorry about your friend stormsts...Belated Anniversary wishes...forty years is HUGE!!!🎊

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts headed my way. Luckily I just close my eyes and zen out for the duration of scans. It's the waiting for results that is the hard part. The tech put a stat request on the order so we hope the results are in for my Wed appointment and she gave me a CD of the scan to drop off at the gyne onc because he always asks for one. Given how busy he is, including working out of at least 3 physical locations weekly, I doubt he will look at it before Thurs but at least I know I won't have to wait any longer than that. I'm also thinking of lucyg and sueg today. I was up really early to get laundry going before I headed off for the scan. Yesterday DS commented that it was taking forever to dry his clothes so he and DH poked around and cleaned out the hose. I honestly didn't pay attention, but assumed it was all good. Came down this morning to find all the laundry room hangers, bathroom line and the drying rack loaded with DH's clothes. He had two loads going when I went to bed and quickly discovered things weren't good. He is off to China Lake until Wed and has ordered the part he needs, so we can get by with hanging everything to dry for a few days. I picked up a couple fresh baguettes and will make pesto, burrata, tomato sandwiches for dinner. Super easy and tasty.

I'm on the phone with my health insurance on hold for 21 minutes so far. We picked a provider from in network and now they are saying it's out of network. Insurance is never easy! No idea what's for dinner yet.

**GypsyGirl** how is your husband doing ? I'm glad you got there was an opening at the Quilt Festival for you. It will be well deserved time for yourself. Well, we had a step backwards on Saturday evening. He had another unresponsive episode caused by the CO2 levels being too high. DD came in to visit and went into immediate action. She had been present for the one a couple of weeks prior so knew the signs. They ended doing a code call, although he never did lose a pulse. Another emergency intubation and he is back in ICU, this time on the Neuro ICU floor. Seems he aspirated something and now has pneumonia again. So he's back in ICU until they get rid of that. So the transfer to rehab has been pushed back for a bit. We can see the rehab facility from his room so I told him to focus on getting better so he can move there! He was a bit of a pill yesterday but was in great spirits today. Spent the afternoon with him and he is very alert (well as alert as one can be on the 'good' stuff!) and is now writing much clearer on the whiteboard. We are up to readable complete sentences now! It's so helpful having him be able to write down what we can't figure out with the usual game of charades. I will be spending the afternoon tomorrow with him to celebrate our 47th anniversary. Told him he still owes me a trip to Hawaii though!
