This is one wild story from RFK Jr. and gets a wow, just wow from me. In a nutshell: - driving in upstate NY to go falconing one morning and the vehicle in front hits/kills bear cub
- decides to take dead cub for meat (and maybe pelt?)
- has busy day falconing, then dinner in the city before heading to airport
- crap, no time to take the dead cub home and can't leave it to rot in vehicle at the airport
- what to do? what to do?
- also has old bike so decides to stage an accidental cyclist killed the cub scene in Central Park
- LE determines bear hit by car probably outside of the park
The case remained unsolved as to how, who and why the bear cub ended up in Central Park until this weekend, almost 10 years later. Others were with RFK Jr when he picked up the bear and when he disposed of it, but I'm not sure if it was the same people at both ends. The only reason he is telling the story is to try get ahead of it being included in a New Yorker profile, but I'm not sure he gets why people might find his behavior strange. Any thoughts? And the reporting in the New York papers 10 years ago was written by a Kennedy relative. You can’t make this stuff up!

decides to take dead cub for meat (and maybe pelt?) Gag.... I don't think a sensible person would behave as he did, or relate that story.

Did anyone else read about the family reunion where bear meat was served? Everyone that ate it got extremely sick and ended up in the hospital. Apparently bears frequently have roundworm larva in their flesh. When eaten by a human, the larva hatch and get into your bloodstream. This can be treated, but if left untreated, you can die from them. This is a short explanation about roundworms in bear meat. www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/comments/1eh5pw1/why_you_should_never_eat_undercooked_bear_meat/

It sure seems he is joining the Weird gang! That was quite an infantile thing to do. No wonder his family did not endorse him.

Such a weird story for him to be involved in.
My brother is a taxidermist. When he first started out he was right behind a car that hit a bear. The highway patrol was called and he waited with the driver and asked if he could take the bear rather than have them dispose of it. He made it into a rug. That is not a weird thing in northern MN. People used to drop things off at our house for him and we’d get the animals to him. One time there was a plastic bag hanging on the handle of our front door. There were dead baby beavers in it. No note, no call to my brother, nothing. We never figured out who left them. We’ve been talking about that mystery today. Had my brother not been a taxidermist we would have been horrified to have found those beavers. My husband cannot remember what he did with them, but he knows he didn’t bring them to a local park.

I just can’t anymore.
Bears, bikes, worms, couches, sharks & batteries it’s all too much.
Thus proving IOKIYAR true over & over & over again. ( Don’t start with RFK jr is not Republican all of his monetary support is far right donors. The money tells. )

I need a new bingo card for all the crazy stuff that's been happening this year.
Now what percentage of voters will actually back the brain worm candidate?

Let’s remember that he was 60 years old — this was not a frat bro kind of prank. He’s absolutely nuts.

I kept thinking this was one of those wacky stories, like the couch and Vance... but it's true! My god. The man is loco. I am thinking a few Kennedy's are quite loco. Isn't the son of Caroline kinda a bubble off level? He posts a lot of really strange things on social media if I am thinking of the right person.

When Roseanne Barr looks at you like you are weird, you are weird. It took me a few minutes to realize who he was talking to in that video. She had the look of someone politely waiting to escape the room.

This story really has me scratching my head. But I got one positive thing out of it: That is THE best saying, and I will replace "a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock" with "a bubble off level" from this day forward!

That is THE best saying, and I will replace "a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock" with "a bubble off level" from this day forward! What does “top” in the saying refer to? Thinking back to my grandparents' dairy farm, the "top paddock" would be the one closest to the dairy, as opposed to the "bottom paddock" that would be closer to their house. And in the context of this saying, the "top paddock" is his brain/head.
