Do you say who you are when you make phone calls?

I even spell out our surname this way.  I break it down into the same groups of letters every time.
So say it's Cammarota, I break it into 3 groups of 3 letters each time I spell it. Cam mar ota.

One day I started off wrong, and said the first 4 letters together, and my brain nearly short-circuited. I thought to myself "I'm going to misspell my own name, aren't I??"
