going through a box of random papers, you find the sales memorandum for your couch from 2002 and it goes in the keep pile. Actually, the couch has seen better days and we're thinking of replacing it, so finding the receipt was timely... it will go next to a picture of the couch when it's hauled away. I don't think I took a photo when it was new  I think the $707 we paid (including delivery) was worth the 22 years we've owned the thing. |

That is a fun idea.
When I was going through my parents' papers, I found all the receipts for all my siblings and my own wedding. I had been married 42 years! I tucked them into my scrapbook.

That is a fun idea. When I was going through my parents' papers, I found all the receipts for all my siblings and my own wedding. I had been married 42 years! I tucked them into my scrapbook. I don't have this item, but I took photos of it once--but my great- aunts found the list of gifts for their parents' wedding--on one side it was written in English, and on the other side, Italian. So that was a paper from my great-grandparents' wedding.  I was so tickled to see it. |

My husband and I went to Spirit Halloween last weekend, and he bought a blanket he passed up on last year and regretted. He saved the outer wrapping "because you could use it for something." He knows me well. What that something will be is anyone's guess. I am hoping to do a 2025 Project Life album, so maybe it'll find its home there for a Halloween-y page.

I’m stitching on a layout of my kid getting braces and he comes in and ask to compare the layout to his current teeth.
Took a picture of him with the layout. 🤪🤪

My husband isn't a scrapbooker but I guess he is a bit of a memory keeper. Friend and I were talking about her taking her kids to Chicago this weekend and their surprise at all the skimpy outfits on Lollapalooza festival-goers. I only knew a little about Lolla from the 90s, so I'm thinking grunge flannel, very different. When I googled I was surprised to see that back when it was a traveling festival there was a show at our local county fairgrounds, and then my husband says, yeah, I went to that show! A few minutes later he pulled out his $29 ticket from 1992  |

You know you're a scrapbooker when you walk into your mum's quilting shop and say "Ooooh, that fabric would make a great scrapbook paper!" (I'm still mad at my mum for opening a quilting shop instead of a scrapbooking shop haha!) breetheflea that receipt is a cool find! I wish I had the receipt for the couch I bought about 24 years ago. I remember paying about $2200 for it, which was a lot of money for a single mum to be paying for a couch, but I loved it so much! I made sure to take photos of it, and you have reminded me to scrap the photos of it. |

And then strut around your scrapbook room when you use it 20 years later 😇

When your sons has an unexpected stay in the hospital and you stop on the way home (when all is well!) at the local scrapbook store to pick up Doodlebugs new hospital set that you thought you’d never buy.

You have more than enough supplies (said no scrapbooker ever) but you just have to go grab that new line of (insert favorite here) paper, embellishments and extras!
