Teachers, what are the small doo-dads you use at your desk that you'd enjoy getting more of? A few times a year, my church does small goody bags for the teachers and staff at the elementary school down the street. We have put in things like post-its, pens, big clips, etc. It's just two or three items and then a few pieces of candy. We're trying to think of some different things to include. Any ideas of small but useful items that we can buy in bulk? We make about 150 bags. Thanks!

I like small fun notepads that I can write a hall pass on, or jot down something. Like post-its but not sticky. I have a few art themed and cat themed ones I use a lot.

Small tubes of hand cream? We are always getting ink on our hands and school soap is not kind to the hands.

Lotion, hand sanitizer, nice small notepad and pens. What a nice thing to do.

A pack of Ticonderoga pencils the kids can borrow.
And I second the lotion (maybe no scent). My hands get paper cuts so easy during school months.
If you can get a local fast food restaurant to give you some free drink coupons, that would be perfect.

My son always needs pens. No matter how many he starts out w/he is out all the time. He also covets post it notes.
You're doing such a thoughtful thing and as a teacher mom let me thank you from the bottom of my heart. Teachers shouldn't have to struggle to buy supplies.

Flair pens in fun colors post it notes elementary reacher - love stickers to give students white board markers - always seem to go dry when younger kids can't push the cap on the entire way

Elementary school teachers love Flair pens. And chocolate. When I subbed in high school classrooms the female teachers had Flair pens too. Guy teachers donât really care what they have and I was in some classrooms where I was lucky if I could find a pen to take attendance. I kind of loved that about them. A Flair pen would be a good thing for a guy too.

My best friend is a teacher and on her dream list is a âthe most ginormous box of decent good enough staples that wonât jam in a staplerâ

Small binder clips are often helpful. Highlighters and magnets would be fun to get.

Judging from what I always hear, dry erase markers! Even one or two black ones in a goody bag would likely be treasured!

Definitely dry erase markers, Ticonderoga #2 pencils and Flair pens or Sharpies. Our teachers always had those items on the âcommunity supplyâ lists for the kids to bring in for classroom use and they always ended up requesting more of the same about halfway through the year, along with boxes and more boxes of Kleenex and tubs of Clorox disinfectant wipes.

My best friend is a teacher and on her dream list is a âthe most ginormous box of decent good enough staples that wonât jam in a staplerâ I was amazed to find out there are staples and there are GOOD staples. I have to print and staple together a large amount of paper to send with each load of cattle to the packer, chain of command type documents. I was having trouble with the pages coming loose because the staples weren't holding. I ended up getting a high quality staple and DAMN~ I threw out all the other staples and now only use this box - which should last me a lifetime. But there is a difference! LOL And they are in a nice tin. Jam Free staples
