I finally found a use for those travel line embellishments that insist on all vacations being a trip to France. I’m documenting The Olympics, or my obsession of watching all the less popular sports anyway. Of course I don’t have any rugby, table tennis, handball, fencing or surfing stuff but at least one Eiffel Tower will leave my stash!

Handball is my favorite sport, I'm so happy to see someone else who likes it! Going to look through my travel stash for an Eiffel Tower now, because I assume this is my one shot at using it.

I also love handball! And archery, modern pentathlon, and all the kayaking things.
I don't think I have an Eiffel Tower in my stash to use but it's a great idea.

I found a scrap of paper in my stash yesterday that has tiny surfboards on it... I'll have to see if it will work. |

My dd played team handball for a few years, going to Nationals as U-18 and U-21. It is a really exciting sport to watch. Can't understand why the networks don't give it a chance over here. In Europe, team handball players are celebrities like hockey players in Canada and baseball or football stars in the US. This week I finally used a sticker from 2015 of a vehicle with suitcases piled on top. With a pic of my ds's family with their luggage on top of their SUV... I also like water polo which is a similar, although handball doesn't involve trying to drown the other players After someone explained that handball was like a dry version of waterpolo it suddenly made sense to me. I haven't ever seen a game but I think smultringunn shared a bunch of posts about Norway's handball team on IG during the last Olympics (and/or the one before, probably) so I learned it's a big deal in some countries. My nibling started playing water polo and has shared some of the tricky stuff that goes on under the water! He's a gentle child, so water polo is showing him a more cut-throat side of the world. |

I’m thinking of trying to use an Eiffel Tower and a statue of liberty when we’re in Tokyo - the Tokyo tower looks a lot like the Eiffel Tower (enough to use it in a cluster) and there is a baby Statue of Liberty I’m hoping to see in odaibi in Tokyo too

That's a great use for the Eifel Tower! I have an old KP/SC Winter Olympic Stamp that I'm dusting off.
Badminton was the sport that captured our attention -- those guys were INTENSE!
