I saw a license plate with this today. It was an official state one, spelled with two "A"s on the end.
I had a custom tag a few years ago and it took a couple of months to receive it when I ordered it.
It got me thinking--if everything goes well for her, do you think that there will be a lot of babies soon with her name?
It's a nice name that is not super common --like mine was many decades ago.

I definitely can see the name growing more popular, especially once she's president.

For sure! Then it will be interesting to see how people decide to pronounce it.

I would think people would be give 2nd thought to naming their child after her. I have often heard her referred to camel or camela.. Not a good name to avoid teasing from bullies.

It’s not a new name. I went to school with someone with the same name. Well at least spelled the same. It’s a nice name so if it gains popularity that’s great.

I had a Kamala in my class back in the late 70s but it was pronounced like camel (I think) as she went by Kammie.

I had a Camala in my class (pronounced like Camel-a). I think the name has been butchered or made fun of so much now that it probably won’t see as much of a spike in popularity as you would think. But we will see!
