I really loathe the photos that are like this. Other than that, what do you think they should do? Reduce clutter? I agree with that. My friends showed their house when they were selling, and I commented that maybe they should pack up their knick knacks that they had on top of their cabinets in the kitchen. They said they still had to live there until it sold, so she didn't want to pack anything away. Which I get, but figured it'll be that much easier to pack it all away and less to have to pack when the house does sell. But that was their reason and it's their house.
I like this house despite the photos. Not a fan of the countertop in the kitchen or that weird wallpaper/mural above the sink. But other than that, I do like it.

So so so so so many questions.
I do absolutely love the bathroom with the soaking tub and blue tile. I could totally relax there.
Why is there a kid marry go round in an adult bedroom 🤔🤨🤣

It has good potential. Ditch all that clutter.

Why is there a kid marry go round in an adult bedroom 🤔🤨🤣 I think maybe it was a teen kid's room? And probably the only place to put it? Who knows? On a side note...did anyone notice when they put "This house is very popular..." and how many views it has had? Makes me wonder if Peas clicking on the links ups that amount by a lot! I know i've clicked the link 3 times. On other homes, I'll click again because I've missed something that another Pea commented on.

You can continue living in your house without knick knacks everywhere. Fair enough - don’t pack away stuff you use obviously but stuff that is purely decorative, I would definitely be putting away. Many people can’t see past clutter either, they don’t have the ability to imagine the space empty or with their own furniture so they’re helping it sell more easily when it’s less cluttered too.

Beyond the problem of the clutter, I take issue with the "bones" as well. There's no cohesive style. It's a bunch of disparate design features that don't marry up at all. I'd have to come close to gutting and starting over.

That's a lot of different colors but I can live with the bathrooms.

This one doesn't bother me. The hot pink bistro area is jarring to me, but I think I could see past the rest. I have a hard time imagining the 3D from the photos, though.
One thing I always wonder when there are tubs like that - how on earth do you clean behind there? I have 3 cats, it would be absolutely disgusting! (This is an honest question, since we are needing to remodel our bathroom and we've been looking at various options. I honestly think that most situations would not allow you to realistically clean those crannies.)

I think it has potential. The photography is awful. #14, so much reflects on the counter top that it is difficult to see the room. I also hate that I get distracted by the furnishings and forget to check out the actual room. In the den, are those books along a rail just below the ceiling? I am not a fan of the blue bathroom or the red bathroom.
As mentioned someone needs to drag out all that clutter so those viewing the home can focus on the home and not decorations/furnishings.

Someone's inner child rules the place! Stage this house, please!

Not for that price, but I see things I could work with here. I also hate the countertop in the kitchen, but maybe it would be not so bad with a white or off white paint instead of the black? And yes, remove the clutter please!

I'm wondering if the real estate agent tried to get them to anything to make the house show better? HouseI haven't even looked yet, but I will already guess that yes, they almost surely did. I imagine a lot more people don't bother to take realtor advice for one reason or another than we non-realtors probably realize. ETA: Having seen it, my bigger question is now "Who took those photos??" Because I feel like both the photos and the order of the photos were less than helpful in picturing the space.

I'm wondering if the real estate agent tried to get them to anything to make the house show better? HouseAs an agent, all I can do is give them guidance on what typically makes a house sell faster and show better. But I can't make them do anything. And despite all the advice about de-personalizing the space, people are very attached to their homes and for many, taking down personal effects feels very mentally jarring and uprooting

There is much I love about the house. Most of the changes are cosmetic.

And despite all the advice about de-personalizing the space, people are very attached to their homes and for many, taking down personal effects feels very mentally jarring and uprooting I think with some owners it may have to do with the owners feeling that their style is wonderful, and having the "Why should I change it?" attitude. And to a degree, I get that. There are some things in my house I would absolutely not change, even to sell it faster or for more money. I'm either going to sell it to someone who is happy with those elements, or I'll sell it to someone who will be forced to "ruin" it themselves when they buy it. But just packing away all of my Squishmallows? Yeah, I'd do that!

Eh. With enough money I could make it into something but I dont know I would want to mess with it. It feels like every design decision was made on a whim with no thought to how it would flow with everything else.

I actually kind of like the house/decor. It is a bit over the top, but it kind of gives me a "happy" feeling. I love that child's room, with the wicker chair in the corner. And that white bathroom looks awesome. Would love a walk-in shower like that. Maybe once the furniture is all gone, the house won't look so "busy". I would have to repaint some of the walls though, especially that bright pink.

The photography is terrible.. I hate pictures like that.
First thing I think would be decluttering. Even with all the different colors/designs, getting some of the 'stuff' I think wouldn't make it so kinda crazy. There are elements I like and fun. But I think there is more that I don't like.
It's interesting for sure!

That would give me hives. I need calm in my home. I’d really have trouble looking past all that. Such crap photography too. I wouldn’t bother looking at it.

The house itself, appears to be in good condition and seems to be a nice layout. The "work" it needs is all cosmetic. Floors, wall paint, bathroom and kitchen tile, lighting fixtures, etc... It presents forth as >> each room it on it's own aesthetically and decor wise....with no regard for continuity throughout.
Some people just want to sell "as is", especially if the seller thinks the overall aesthetic and home decor looks good.
This home has so much potential, hopefully a buyer can see that through all the clutter and various colors....to envision what it could be.

Aww, they made it their space and filled it with things they love. Seems like a happy place, even if it's not my style. I like maximalist but moreso when it's cohesive.
It all seems like pretty easy fixes other than the tile...i don't like the black hexes with the glossy blue and shiny black squares of the floor. Too many different styles of tile.

I do absolutely love the bathroom with the soaking tub and blue tile. I could totally relax there. exactly. I'll be living in the room with the tub while other areas of the house are painted. The kitchen just needs to have either the countertops redone or the walls painted - wayyyy too much going on there. I don't mind the pink wall, but the carousel will be leaving with the owners right? Right? pretty house all together though
