It is “Panda Day” in California. The exhibit at the San Diego Zoo opens today! They are expecting a lot of people and traffic. I’ll go after kids go back to school. lol!

How cool. When I was a child we went to the Washington Zoo in D.C., and they had just received Ling-Ling and Sing-Sing from China. They were so much fun to watch. Though I'm typically not a zoo fan, because I hate to see animals in cages. San Diego Zoo is a great zoo.

We have a cousin visiting from Scotland in a couple weeks and I'm kind of hoping she wants to go to the zoo so I can see the pandas (even with the crazy lines).  |

Even though the zoo opens at 9, the exhibit won’t open until noon today. Apparently they are having an official ceremony and the Governor is going to be there. The news is showing a ribbon across the exhibit door and chairs set up for the ceremony. I don’t know … just let the public in already. 😂

When the National Zoo had pandas, I had a friend who worked there who got us into an area not normally accessed by the public to see them. It was so great. There was a little baby who I thought was stuck in a tree but he made his way down.
