***EDITED WITH UPDATED TEA*** She is now divorced from the new husband. I guess she rushed into it and had second thoughts? Couldn't it have been annulled if it was only a month or two? She seems like a nice, sweet, sensitive lady...and maybe it's just me, but why put all this out there? I don't get it. ------------------------------------------- husband! Congrats to the newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Christopherson

Wait! What happened to the old husband? Did I miss something? She left the Mormon church/religion. Not sure if she left him, he left her, or it was a mutual decision. She sure moves on quickly.

I wonder how these women with so many kids have time to find a new man so easily.

Wasn’t she with Chatterbox? I can’t remember one way or the other but I do remember her name.

She was with Chatterbox. Then she had a kit club called Scarlet Lime. She got into mixed media and had “She” workshops. She was or is close to Melody Ross.

She's more into the journaling and planner world now. I think her shop is called The Planner Society.
She was married to Ben and had like 5 kids with him, who are all now grown adults.

I thought her name sounded familiar, there was something about her and TH and the Inkroad Stamps lady wasn't there? Maybe a big thread here? I'm way too lazy to look for it though lol

Who are some others who have left? Do we know if Dear Lizzy left the Mormon church? It's honestly hard to tell. Sometimes my former Mormon spidey senses will go up based on their appearance; "immodest clothing", a drink in hand that suspiciously looks like alcohol, and then the next post is something like I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE!
I don't really know much about who is and isn't Mormon. Heidi Swapp is still a member. Jen Hadfield, is no longer one. I'm not sure about Dear Lizzy. If there are ties to Utah, there's likely some sort of connection. Oh, and how could I forget about Becky Higgins. Definitely Mormon/LDS, whatever term you prefer.
Contrary to popular opinion, there isn't a collective hive of female Mormons who are attracted to Mormon mommy bloggers/influencers/famous people in the craft industry. I know most members haven't heard of these people. You get 'famous' by getting published by Deseret News or getting to speak at something like their Time Out for Women events. Even then, those aren't mandatory. People still may not know who they are.

I'm way too lazy to look for it though lol I know there was a thread about Tim Holtz + The Inked Road lady (Im pretty sure it was TH). I dont remember Christy Tomlinson being involved with that. I know Christy from the mixed media word. She did the ' She Girls' and is really close to Margie Romney Aslet (from the girls paperie and Making Memories).

Wasn't Margie Romney Aslet also involved in the Dear Lizzy drama (maybe the GFM)? Yeah, when her son lost his chefs knives she linked a GFM to purchase him new ones while she was also bragging about going to stay in Hawaii for a month. It was very tone deaf.

I had forgotten about the knife fundraiser. There should be a thread about past GFM, fundraisers, scams, etc... I remember a few, but I know I have forgotten about some like Margie.

Oof. That’s got to be a blow to her.
I think for an annulment it had to have some sort fraud or misrepresentation. So divorce is probably the right way to go.

It sounds to me like she is bit a lost and still figuring out life, after leaving her church.
After being brainwashed, misguided and led to believe certain things, un-doing that takes time. Healing takes time. When one is out of sorts and has experienced a major life upheaval (divorce after a long marriage, leaving the church) jumping into a new relationship or marriage is not always a good idea. Especially if one has a lifetime of baggage and issues to deal with. Sometimes people feel they need someone >> anyone to fill the void, but that is not always a good thing. Rushing into something to fill a void, is not a healthy thing to do. She needs to heal herself, heal her trauma, figure out her new normal, find her true self.
Good for her, for accepting her truth....that this new marriage is not a good and healthy thing for her.

I know I have read/heard repeatedly that you aren't supposed to make big decisions for a year after a loss (could be different things). It makes sense. I wouldn't say that dating itself would be out of the question, but I certainly don't think marrying in under a year is probably a good idea for most.
